Thanks... I'll have to take it all down for the rewire, so I might bring it in for a few days to bench test via POE+ to see if its the cable and play with different lengths before putting it backup with with the direct 12v (or whatever i find works on the bench).
I did have it on the bench for a few days prior, but didn't setup a power on position and move it off that start spot like i've been doing with it in place where i need to move it to monitor.

The (above) 2018-09-13 Build Date firmware has not remedied the rebooting issue I have been experiencing; my SD49225T-HN continues to exhibit frequent unintended reboots.
 
You need to flash firmware on over RS232. Even trying just the "eracfg" command on bootup may solve this

Thanks... mine still does it as well... completely random, and even once now become unresponsive for over 10min that I power cycled it to get it back :(
clearly there is a flaw in it... I'm hoping its a POE issue in the camera and when i get time can test via direct 12v power.

I have it on a managed PoE+ switch now, and monitor power, typicall is 11-13w, sometimes see it spike to 22w at night with IR (and i assume heater?)... so shouldn't be a Power issue. If it was a cable crimp issue, it shouldn't be so intermittent. I.e. just went 12+hrs again without reboot, then 2 in a short period of time :(

Don't be so sure about a bad crimp or cable....funny things can happen when you have that going. SO now you have it running on your new POE switch and still on same cable. So now its time to take it to the bench and use new short cable, this will eliminate the cable issue. Then try the 12v supply and test to eliminate bad POE circuit in cam. Getting closer :)

Your right, i'm not 100% sure... however, statistically i am very sure... that same cable ran another non-ptz camera for over a month without an issue, so highly unlikely.
I agree, time for bench testing... just haven't had the weather as I'm not climbing up a ladder in snow and -8degC

Update over rs232, run a tftp server with all of the composite files for the camera in a correctly name folder,
Start up camera,
Stop boot up in terminal software using *****
type "lip 192.168.1.108" press enter
"sip 192.168.1.200" press enter (this will be your computers ip)
"saveenv" press enter
" run up" press enter
You should get a lot of ######## on screen once its upgrading.

I have solved this issue many times using this method.

Interesting... whats the theory, that the firmware corrupted on factory flash, so doing it this way helps ensure a "clean" updated firmware?

Hopefully Q can try this first as I'm still too lazy (and too cold) to take mine down for bench testing or this flashing :)
I also don't relish the idea of having to open up the camera to access there serial device :(

I have many Dahua cameras and never experienced this before. Sounds like bullshit to me.

I can assure you that I am far lazier than thou brother...and it'll be a cold day in Hell before I open a camera and flash it over a serial connection. Nay; I'll hold a contest and give my SD49225T-HN away well before that happens. smiley9.gif

Maybe that could fix the issue..

Where did you guys find this? All I can find is 2017 firmware on the Dahua website...
