Seeking Hikvision IP Camera / Mac guy in San Fernando Valley area

Hi All,
I'm new here, an end user, DIY type looking for an installer near my location who is both Hikvision IP AND Mac fluent. After trying and failing with local installers, I found a guy who was capable but I lost his contact info.

Since that successful set-up my camera has been hacked and the passwords changed. To make matters worse, that camera was a grey market, so.... I've also purchased two additional hikvision cameras (not gray market) and would like to get all three working. Please contact me if you have the skills, love a challenge and live near by.

Rick, not meaning to be a dweeb, but it sounds like that installation was anything but successful. It certainly sounds like you need to start over and be glad you lost that last guy’s contact info.

@Rick Simonton, he likely did what many do and forwarded a port or ports in your router to the cam's LAN IP to provide remote access and it got hacked.

What models are the grey market, hacked cameras?
With minimal skills you can either fully convert any R0 series (DS-2CD2x32-I) to English / upgradeable and update to the backdoor-fixed more secure firmware.

If you no longer have access due to the password change, several things you can do :

Try using 1111aaaa for the password. This has been used by the bots that are exploiting the Hikvision backdoor.

Use the updated version of @bp2008 password reset tool here : Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

If neither of those work, extract the configuration file, zip it and attach here and I should be able to decrypt and decode and extract the password for you.
Use this URL, replacing the IP address with that of the camera :

Certainly NOT being a dweeb! Thank you for responding! By "successful" I meant he got it to work and I could monitor it with a browser and with an ipnone. As I understand it, it was facilitated by a hikvision free server that was taken offline recently...so at this point I cant seem to even get to the gateway page where they password would be entered. The gray market camera is a DS-2CD2632F-IS

BTW, I thought I posted this under Forums > Hardware > IP Cameras > Hikvision ... but I don't see it there. Where did you find my cry for help. I found your responses listed under the bell icon at the top right of the page. It seems the very first thing I need to do is figure out how to use this forum correctly. I'm not completely stupid when it comes to my mac and the internet, except when it has anything to do with my ip camera.

Thanks for the directions! But before I go down this road I need to get my act together just using this forum. I thought I stared a new thread at Forums > Hardware > IP Cameras > Hikvision but I dont see it. Where did you find my post and why did I find your response under the bell icon at the top of the page?
 
Q: No worries, It only stung for a second... and "When you do it yourself you'll know it's done right." is my motto...but dam this stuff is far out of my wheelhouse. But I'm a stubborn SOB so one way or another....

If not, it is super easy to set up securely ;-)

The way it was set-up, I had a bookmark for the camera on my firefox browser. This would take me to what i would describe as a portal page where I could enter a username and password. (see attached). I understood that this page was generated by a hikvision free server that has sense been disabled. I could be wrong here but that's what I understood. In any case that link time out and the page no longer appears, so I have no place to enter a UN and PW.
I also tried the ivms4200 app on my mac AND the ivms 4500 app on my iphone. Neither worked with 1111aaaa although the phone app knew the name of the camera that the hacker changed it to (HACKED). Not sure if that means the camera is running or not.
