lol. I'm leaning towards picking up a few different ones.buy em all. You'll use them all eventually.
Looks like some minimal blurring on the rooftop within that 6-8 ft, although watching you come out walking does look clear.Original FW 4K-X bullet 3.6mm
Notice the first 6-8ft or so on the shutter is blurred
Distances to me
1- 12ft
2- 35ft
3- 50ft
Thanks for sharing that photo. I have watched a few of his videos. Our long time resident camera expert Wildcat ran the Dahua 4K/X 8MP 1/1.2" sensor thru the paces. Keep in mind this 4K/X camera is incredible.
He had the 3.6mm version and here is the screenshot from 40 feet in the ideal daylight and standing still, which based on DORI numbers is the supposed IDENTIFY distance for this camera with the 3.6mm lens and I think most of would agree that this is not IDENTIFY quality, even if digitally zoomed in:
I have the 4K/X and 4K/T and they are incredible cameras, but I wouldn't use it for IDENTIFY past 15-20 feet, or half of what the DORI number is.
Nice night time recordings with the 4K-T looks very nice.Obligatory Gator clip
Very nice seeing all this. I can see how the 4K-T at 3.6 mm will do good to identify at those first two shots (8, 20 ft). Anything shortly beyond that is going to work more for recognize and observe.4K-T 3.6mm at about 8, 20, 30 ft

I have one 2.8mm 4K-X bullet original firmware version from the year 2021 as an overview camera. I don't really notice the close-focusing problem like other guys often mention here in the forum. Maybe I got lucky or the 2.8mm 4K-X bullet version do better than other versions of this camera with the focus problem. For me, other then the size of the 4K-X bullet is too big and the mic volume is kind of low I'm very happy with the camera and it's working well 3 plus years now.
Take a look at this video where I compared the 2.8mm, 3.6mm, and 6mm 4K-X cameras. The telephone pole in the center of the screen is exactly 50' from the 4K-X. The middle of the street is 32', and when the guy crosses in front of the camera at 2:51, he is 13' from the 6mm camera. Be sure to watch it in 2160p.
