Do it in 4MP with 1/1.8 sensors and I'll buy it!

It actually looks more like an IR blaster than a camera.

Great way to add cameras and tell the neighbors it is just infrared LOL
In my old suburban neighborhood this would be a bit big and a PTZ would get multiple complaints from the Karens.

Yep. Tell them it’s the newest Starlink receiver you’re testing

I left those Karens behind when we moved, lol Only thing watching us now are wildlife....

I have a situation where this camera could replace 3 cameras, um who am I kidding I will repurpose those for new locations LOL.

It works very well on my back corner with the wide angle providing identify between the houses, the mid range providing identify in the front yard, and the zoom providing close ups out at the street.

This thing is an infrared light cannon and allows me to remove a Tendelux IR blaster to another location.

As pointed out in this thread, there are some cool features for it. It is unfortunate that you have to make a mount if you want to hang from the top, but if hanging vertical, it isn't an issue.

The ability to adjust the vertical aiming from the computer is a nice touch. It isn't a huge range, but enough to get it close and then make final adjustments.

I am still tweaking some things but wanted to show some additional examples for people to see what it can do.

First is daytime. It is cool how you can show all 3 at the same time.

And the zoom in. This is at 115 feet. Looks like the truck is parked.

Here is a person at 95 feet and you can see the Nike logo on the shoes.

Now what surprises me is here is the Z4E (non S3 model so 2019ish) and field of view is roughly the same, so one of the focal lengths is probably off. The older Z4E clarity isn't that much better than this 2MP, showing advancements over time.

At night you can see the IR cannon:

I am still working on the night image, but you can clearly see they are Nike logo shoes.

With a better angle closer to straight on, I am confident that this could be used as an overview with the wide and mid range cameras and LPR for the zoomed in camera at probably 100 feet during the day and 60-70 feet at night. That may be my next test, or purchase during the lottery LOL.
Hey Wittaj,

Looks like you really dialed in your camera. Do you mind sharing your settings? I’ve played with settings but mine doesn’t look as good as yours.

This camera can be really great if nearby no block, because 3 lens in 2 camera, focus distance is bit strict than normal fixed camera.

Dont mind if i ask dumb questions? Why do you use customized scene? Why not the Day/Night Switch? I assume you have a whole set of other settings for Night time, right?

This thing is such an infrared light cannon, I am able to use the same settings day and night.

I can run the 4K/X and 4K/T on one profile as well. The rest of my cameras have at least day and night profiles going.

When I get more time I may play with the night profile and see if it can be improved any.

The zoom 3 camera exposure was 0-6.33ms but I am playing with that one.

do u have a side by side side comparison between this cam, and the 4kT turret?

I think I'm missing something. You have the same settings for day and night. So there must be a schedule set to tell it to switch from one to the other. What's the advantage of customized scene compared to day/night switch?

Customized scene is if you use the schedule and set times for different profiles. The default schedule is 24/7 day profile.

Sometimes one will use the customized scene for either more than just day and night profiles or to force a different profile earlier/later if say using the day/night switch causes a camera to go back and forth between color and B/W during dusk and dawn times.

Some of my cams use the day/night switch and some use customized scene, while others use just one profile. It really comes down to each camera and field of view.

Maybe it's out there and I haven't found it but I think someone with plenty of knowledge should make a video explaining what the settings are and how they affect the video. Gamma, saturation, exposure compensation, 3d noise reduction, 2d noise reduction. Does something like that exist?
