Ryan McBeth .. about 20 years US Military iirc, gives a good solid analysis from what I can tell ..

Donetsk City 9/19/22 Attack Crater Analysis
Sep 22, 2022
Ryan McBeth

Based on the video evidence, and information from Army FM 6-50, along with the presence of Russian counter battery fire, I believe that the shell that hit outside of the store located at 48.010322, 37.769701 on 9/19/2022 was a 122mm shell fired from a D-30 howitzer south of Donetsk.

I want to remind you that the United States is currently the ONLY country that has attracted nuclear weapons (and not only in the form of explosions, but also in the form of shells with depleted uranium), as well as chemical (Agent Orange) and, judging by the data of m Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which developed and stored biological weapons in biological laboratories in Ukraine. I also want to recall the words of Liz Truss about the possibility of using nuclear weapons.

Liz Truss has never once threatened the use of nukes. In fact no Western leader has. The only people who have threatened the use of nukes is Putin, some of his associates and some of your political tv presenters who seem to do it all the time. eg it was only days ago, your tv presenters were saying Russia should nuke the Queen's funeral.

I suggest you start reading news from around the world and get the true picture rather than swallowing the propoganda your own media is putting out.

Did you know 141 countries at the UN voted to condemn Russia's invasion? Does that sound like Russia is in the right and de-Natzifying Ukraine or does that sound like maybe Russia is the Natzi here? It would be quite remarekeable if 141 countries simoultaneously suddenly developed Mr. Putin's Russiaphobia!!

Or is Mr Putin now going to claim the US has developed a new biological weapon like covid that is spreading and infecting people with Russia phobia and has affected 141 countries so far? All sounding a bit far fecthed isn't it.

For some reason this reminds me of a scene in the Soprano's. I can just imagine Putin waking up with a hangover everyday saying "what da fuck"

Maybe we should be calling the war a special military intervention :D

When the battery dies on your EV Drone / UAV .. need to find alternative drop systems ..

As an interesting aside I initially learnt about the use of homing pigeons during WW2 while reading about SAS operations. They would be issued to those operating behind enemy lines for communications and sometimes provided a source of food in desperate situations.

I'm not to familiar with birds but It looks like some type of hawk in the video ( any guesses? ) Hawks were a bit of a problem for pigeons returning to UK with vital info and i think they had to be kept in check somewhat.

Pigeon use was much much more widespread than i originally thought.

Update from Jake Broe. Interesting first couple of minutes highlighting Russia's not so good track record in wars and the help it received from others that it conveniently forgets about today.

Putin's never going to be on the wrong side of a pontoon bridge in the Palace of Safety. The minions will do as he says not as he does. If not jail them

"Citing US intelligence sources, the paper said that his refusal to consider a pullback had caused a decrease in morale among Russian troops in the city, who are largely cut off from their supply lines and rely on a series of pontoon bridges to be re-equipped."

My thoughts today on the disaster that is Russian mobilisation. Despite speeches from the regime outlining who is eligible for the draft it's henchmen have different ideas. ISW's daily update paints a pretty grim picture if your a male of any age in Russia.

Also linked is a speech often quoted / re-worded and used to illustrate why silence is not a good thing under these circumstances. @N-i-k-s-o-n @Lyudmila what are you going to do when they come for you. Don't leave it till there's no one left. It's time for the Russian people to speak

...

A longer version by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, a charity established by the British government, is as follows:[4]

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Would be nice to get a perspective from @N-i-k-s-o-n and @Lyudmila

Seen numerous reports that despite official declared exceptions .. just about any male from 18-60 / 65 can be given a "welcome back to Army" card .. even those who are fathers of young children, those working in IT, those with no Army experience ..

This clearly is not a good plan for Russian people .. then we knew Putin did not plan much good for Russian People .. he should have had clues after his invasion of 2014 and the sanctions which that brought to Russia that resistance getting stronger against a next possible invasion. Ukrainians over threw their government for a better one .. and the Ukrainians were more likely to resist .. Putin took the gable when he invaded, he had perhaps 1-3 weeks to make it .. and literally ran out of gas on that push ..

Can this mobilization turn the tide .. yes, however not without modern weapons .. sanctions will hopefully stop that.

All of this however, does mean Economic War .. Germany especially, the engine of Europe, is getting hit very hard.

ISW writeup was good .. I believe this is the key reason why I am seeing numerous issues with this so far:

"Some of the reports suggest, however, that regional mobilization officials have been given quotas to fill and received pressure to fill them in ways that are more likely to cause errors than to reward adherence to the stated principles and the needs of an effective, combat-ready reserve force."

A "knock on" effect of the Russian Ukrainian Special Operation .. is the Azerbaijan vs Armenia conflict ..

ARMENIA-AZERBAIJAN | A Final Peace or More War?
Prof James Ker-Lindsay

In September 2022, Armenia and Azerbaijan clashed in the most serious outbreak of fighting since they went to war in September 2020. While a ceasefire was soon put in place, there are very real fears that this is merely the prelude to another full-scale war between the countries - a war that ultimately see the end of Nagorno-Karabakh. So, what exactly has led to this dangerous situation? And is there any way to stop a catastrophic new conflict in the Caucasus.
