I don't have any SWANN cams, but I noticed on your BL setup, you are using http:// and not rtsp:// in your Address. Also, you have the Video path: set to /ch(CAMN02)/0, but in your NVR setup, it states: /ch01/A with A:0 as the main stream..., so maybe /ch01/A:0 or /ch01/A0, etc...

Trying changing address to RTSP, like rtsp://user:password@192.168.1.60 or rtsp://user:password@192.168.1.60:554, etc. If that doesn't work with the Video path you arleady have, try changing the Video path, as stated on your NVR.

(editor is changing the user: password to a laughing face, added space to show text...)

Concord, thanks for your reply, I tried the above what you advised but still no joy. Very frustrating. Just to confirm on the above, do you mean for example, rtsp://thepasswordforthecamera/192.168.1.60:554

Yes, the username and password for the camera... RTSP port is 554, it may or may not be needed in the rtsp string...

Set Address to rtsp, then enter in:
TheUserNameFortheCamera:thePasswordFortheCamera@192.168.1.60

My bad, I was thinking that 192.168.1.60 was the cam, not the NVR. You maybe you can get the stream directly from the NVR, using the NVR username/password and /ch01/0 path

Check out other 8xx Swann cam RTSP suggestions:

when you say the NVR do you mean the swann NVR? I do not own one, just using BI and these swann cams.

Sorry, I thought your images in on post #41 was your NVR, not your camera. The cam states how to access via rtsp and the path (i.e. /ch01/0 for main stream), but it if entering in your username and password into BL, then trying: RTSP://192.168.1.60, or RTSP://192.168.1.60:554, or RTSP://username: Password@192.168.1.60 or RTSP://username: Password@192.168.1.60:554 doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to try.

You could try accessing it with VLC to confirm that you can see video:

( VLC example:

)

and also you can use WireShark to discover rtsp strream too:

( WireShark example:

)

QUITE BIZARRE! - just thought id have a go on Wireshark, so hooked the cam up to my other pc, downloaded a trial of BI and selected the correct swann profile in BI, as I had done before and it's worked?! Il go try it on my BI pc now. Both are exactly the same spec win 10 machines. Strange.

For anyone reading this thread in the future make sure when you gain access to the Swann interface you tick Network:RTSP : Anonymous login is ticked.
Also some of my cams came out the box on a static 192 and other on a 172 address. Bit strange but hey ho.
Also on Network section tick UPNP and P2P Switch are both ticked to on

Just in case anyone is still trying to figure out the rtsp URL for the SWNHD-865msb so they can view it in VLC or Blue Iris, the URL is rtsp:/IP:554/ch01/0 - you can change the last 0 to 1 or 2 to lower the quality. This took me way too long to figure out. But I was able to view the stream over my network without ever connecting or owning a SWANN NVR or any other type of NVR. It's just connected to my POE switch which is connected to a router that has no internet connection. The streams feed into a machine with 2 ethernet ports so I can view the feeds from the non-internet connected network to my normal home network.

Hey guys. I am new to all of this and looking for some help. I purchased a swann NVR 8580 system with 4 of the 885 poe cameras. I was hoping to find a way stream the video do an Imperihome dashboard. I have tried to figure out a http stream for each individual camera with no luck. I then decided to try a tablet with tinycam running as a server to convert the rtsp streams to http. This works but after a few hours, the NVR stops all rtsp streams and the homesafe app fails to connect to the cameras as well. I then have to restart the NVR to get the rtsp streams back up. Do you guys have any ideas that I could try to get this working. I appreciate any help you could offer.

I don't have a swann system, but just googled and it seems that ImperiHome is still working on RTSP and recommends MJPEG instead ( How to configure my IP Camera ? ).
Unfortunately, direct stream from rtsp does not work in Imperihome from this system. It seems like Imperihome does not support H265. H264 streams from other sources work fine.

Hello,

All Swann cameras mentioned in this thread are wired and with PoE, I have a Swann
SWNVK-490KH2 wireless w/ NVR model hoping for a similar outcome getting ONVIF or RTSP to work if anyone is familiar with the newer .

Cheers

I don't see @alastairstevenson here lately.
Lol! I wish ...

maybe someone can help to find the original camera ?
I can't say I've seen another brand of 5MP bullet with a built-in PIR. But then it's not something I've looked for.

Google doesn't come up with much - closest was this : 5MP PIR Bullet IP Camera | Concord
But no firmware download links.

The next step would be to google some of the machine or model specific strings from the bootlog.
Machine model: INFINITY3 MSC000A-S04A
This yields a bootlog from probably another (unknown) camera : andy2301/test1
The bootlog suggests it's from the same family of firmware.
But these don't look like a match - despite the bootlog title : Yi Technology

This didn't yield anything useful :
Machine model: INFINITY3 MSC000A-S04A
But this might be worth searching for :
producttype : RS-CH256MCC-36PW-M-PIR-SW SenSorType: SC5035_5M BoardType: RS-CM-211B
Sometimes a bootloader environment variable holds an original model number, so it may be worth using
printenv
at the bootloader prompt.
