Greetings forum,
I have been using for a long time foscam cameras. They have been reliable but their quality is crappy with today’s standards. Especially my ptz FI9828P is super unreliable and has one the worst image quality ever (there are moments that the image becomes purple for example). Also their app is pretty bad.
Few months ago i purchased 2 reolinks (one poe RLC-410 and one wifi, the C1PRO ) as an alternative and I was pleasured to see big improvements compared to foscam. The image quality is far better, the app is easier to handle, the web interface of the cameras is a huge improvement. But I am having problems that I didn’t have with my foscam. The motion detection for example doesn’t seem to work properly.
Reading a little bit on this forum I can see that people praise dahua and hikvision. And I can see why from the reviews and videos examples. I purchased my foscam FI9828P for about €200 and for the same price I can get some very impressive hikvision models.
Now my questions. I am thinking to replace my foscams (and probably my reolinks, not sure yet if i will keep them) with hikvision. Dahua is out of the question. I can find hikvision on good prices in my country and with good support.
I will need 4 cameras in total. One can be PTZ. The price limit per camera is around €200 (I might be able to afford a little more for the PTZ).
As a turret camera I was thinking the recent hikvision DS-2CD2347G1-LU (has build it mic). Probably 2 of them with an estimated price of €230 per camera.
For ptz I was thinking the dome style hikvision DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3.
And finally is there any suggestion for a bullet type hikvision?
my requirements: poe only. The cameras will all be external. One of the them should be pt or ptz.
Any advice, alternative suggestions etc, would be appreciated
