The 5th Circuit ruling, while only applying to Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, will have implications nationwide.
They are quoting the Constitution and a Federal court interpreted it to mean what it says.
At minimum, it will provide a foundation for other courts to consider when the lawsuits fly in other states. It is a precedent that can’t just be ignored

Interesting how the courts (observational generality with no specific documented proof of my allegation), now faced with the likelyhood of a Trump victory, are starting to actually follow the law for a change. Amazing
