Haha why? Because you say so? Medicare pays about $8000 more for a Covid case, more if a ventilator is used. Articles I've read say there's been no public reports of misreporting Covid cases, but there are MANY anecdotal accounts of fraud discussed in social media forums. How much of your life savings would you stake that all those personal accounts of greed are false? Not very much I'd wager.
You seem eagerly willing to publicly post questionable information to suit your narrative no matter the cost to your reputation--and believe me, your political reputation is scant. Almost 230,000 deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed as of Saturday. The true number is almost certainly higher by a considerable margin.

As of Oct. 3, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention counted 299,000 more U.S. deaths than would be expected in a normal year. Some of those deaths are sure to have been from COVID-19 — how many cannot be known.

Your facts are so off its embarrassing... The labeling of Covid deaths to get more money has been proven time and time again. You really need to find a new site for news.

How about systemic fraud mandated by government? Until about a month ago, the official Oregon policy was:
We consider Covid deaths to be:
Deaths in which a patient hospitalized for any reason within 14 days of a positive Covid test result dies in the hospital or within the 60 days following discharge.

When asked if somebody killed in a traffic accident would be counted as a covid death, the official response was:
“It would be,” ....“But I must go back to the point about how we used this data, which is to help us track how Covid is spread in the community.”
He added that the state follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for reporting deaths.

My translation: Yes we intentionally overstate the death count but it's for a greater good, and that's what the CDC wants us to do anyway..

If you don't see this policy as overstating the covid death count, I won't bother to convince you. This info is from an article about a family contesting a cancer death being counted as covid.
