Hi there, n°2 is strange: how do you add the VTH in iDMSS? Through P2P? Through IP/Domain? With which credentials?
For n°1: I can confirm the same behavior, although iDMSS is always 1-2 seconds later in ringing than the VTH: if someone is in the house, he needs to pick up, if someone picks up on the phone, you can still scare the hell out of the (unsollicited) visitors by simply stating in an Arnold Swcharsenecker voice: "this is Jim from the police department, who are you looking for" and they will run away :)

i thought i had solved it but NOT. its a hit and miss regards to No 2. I used the IP address and password which we login to the panel.

It does connect to it but blank screen which confirms there is connection of some sort.
 
FYI I got today the latest firmwares from my official vendor, multi language.
I can send them if needed ...



Today I received the following firmwares from Dahua support France, mentioning there would soon be a SIP version release as well ... :

- General_Multi3_VTH1510_EngItlFreGerDutSpaPor_P_V3.200.0000.0.R.20170826.bin

- General_Multi3_VTO2000A_EngItlFreGetDutSpaPor_P_16M_V3.200.0000.0.R.20170912.bin



And the same day those latest versions from my Belgian vendor :

- VTH151X_EngItlFrnGerDutSpnPrt_V4.000.100B000.0.T.20180906 et

- VTOXXX_EngItlFrnGerDutSpnPrt_P_16M_V3.120.001P000.0.T.20181025

My Belgian vendor told me he had the SIP as well if needed, but I have not requested them because I do not know what it is / what added value it will bring

hello I can ask for a little help.
I have a dahua intercom, VTO200A version, I have downloaded the firmware version v4.
Use config tool, to update from version 2.00. but when I try to update it goes into error and remains the previous version.
Do I have to do something before starting the update?
 
I think you need to use the VDP config tool instead ...
In any case, make sure when you look for the VTO on the network segment, that you enter the correct login and password (admin / ...)
It is necessary if you update the FW, as far as I know.

Now, I had installed a Firmware found on a non official Dahua wiki and it blocked my VTO ... no way to update the FW anymore, so I had to buy a new one !
 
VDP config tool is the one replacing the "old" config tool.
It can be found in the Dahua Toolbox.

I have a problem. with the old version of the tools, I can see my vto2000a on the net, but I can not update.
with the new version I do not see the device, even if I try to manually search for the ip address.
any suggestions?

Hello, I updated my Dahua VTO2000A with the last firmware bc the last one 3.120 had some problems.
Now I have the VTH1500CH with the same versione (4.0...) and the VTO with General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_SIP_V4.000.0000000.1.R.20180606.

I noticed that now the VTO use the new web service 2.0 but the username / password didn't recognizes me. It's different from the previous firmware?

I saw the link added by 0blar about share.dahuasecurity.com . Where I can have the data (user/psw) for enter and search the new firmare etc?

In fact there is no "official" download source for dahua firmwares.

You got to understand the philosophy of dahua, the original manufacturer of this devices.
Main problem for us is, that dahua distributes firmware only via resellers. These are located all over the world and have different needs when it comes to features and languages.
This explains for instance why there are firmware files with eastern europe languages almost free available from many sites. It's easier to get stuff from russia due their lower regulated laws when it comes to data protection then e.g. from germany. Central european distributers (incl. german,french,spanish,dutch,etc. languages) will send their firmware files only highly restricted to their customers, not allowing them to re-distribute it.
Off course they would ruin their business, if everybody would buy exact SIMILAR hardware at aliexpress for 1/4 of their price (or even cheaper) but will then ask local distributors for firmware and support.
For me this seems to be the reason why forums regarding dahua devices likes this are frequented so much.

If local dealers would sell the devices for a reasonable prices, nobody would buy this stuff from (partly) dubious sellers in china. I expect the lowered margin would then be equalized by the much higher ammound of sold devices. And then the support would be much better, too.

Stupid question: Where can i set my password? I tried typing my admin password in VDPConfig (see screenshot)
But I still receive the same error message..

If you press the "burglar" switch on the back of the VTO 5 times you'll hear (aside from the siren) a distinct double beep. When you hear this, you can disconnect your VTO and power it back on. Password is reset to the default admin.
