Any idea about how much long of video footage I could get with 2-3 tb?Only $56 bucks for 3TB and I had more experiences with that one.
I just ordered the camera setup.

FYI - Porksoda posted this on SD:
Looking at what appears to be part 1, and the cameras look like the older models included in the kit. Thus I would hope to see better IR performance with the newer camera models.
Another quick question, should I go for the 1tb wd purple or the 2tb hgst refrub below:
Hitachi 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA III 6.0Gb/s (Heavy Duty, 24/7) 3.5" Internal Desktop Hard Drive (For PC, Mac, CCTV DVR, RAID, NAS) (Certified Refurbished) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTJTVF5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ExB9AbBQZX297
My exact thoughts as well. I really wish there was a few video examples of these cameras (sd deal).
I wonder if they show anywhere close to this example with an amcrest hd 2.1mp ip camera used in this video around the 2:35 mark?

Thanks for the hd advice. I mean in the video, there's a amcrest Poe camera example around the 2:35 mark. Was wondering if that's the quality I could expect with the 2.1 laview cameras I ordered?Stay away from Arlo or anything that is wireless/wifi, or cloud based.

I found someone who said they'll put it up for $200, wondering if I should get them or is it simple to diy?
Here's a idea of where I'm thinking to install them. In the pics above (I circled where the camera would go), they would probably settle under a Eve (approx. 8ft in height). And be positioned like in a triangle where the first camera would be point in the direction of the far right and vice Versa.
Any thoughts ideas or suggestions.

Thanks. Do you think that's a good position to place the cameras in the back yard? And should I go with 2 4mp in the front, 2.1 in the back?
