Windows 10 - Auto Startup Problem w/ Blue Iris

I did this twice carefully and when I double click on the short cut it doesn't open the app? I also clicked add blue iris as a service in the settings and when I restart BI doesn't open. What could I be doing wrong? Unless it is secretly running in the background, which I don't understand how to see that it is.

You have a setting wrong with respect to uac...
As far as the service it's running..it won't open bi...it runs in the background..see in task manager..to our open bi console Simply click the program icon...if running as a service you don't need or want the auto start using elevated command prompt..
