I am looking for suggestions for an WiFi Outdoor Two way Audio IP Camera that will work with Blue Iris.
I would like to spend less than $200.

This is a camera I want to place at my front door.

I have already tried the MicroSeven camera (Microseven 1080P HD WiFi Outdoor Camera) (it was terrible, very laggy), KasaCam KC200 (not an IP camera), Nest Cam (constantly crashing and haven't gotten it to work yet, looks like you have to publicly share your feed and also it uploads to Nest servers first), Yi Outdoor Camera (not an outdoor camera and I couldn't hack it to add RTSP, there are some posts about hacking it, but they haven't figured out how to get RTSP working on the outdoor Yi camera, I was able to telnet into it though).

I already have a bunch of Reolink's RLC-410W and I really like them so far, but they only have a microphone.

reolink is garbage from a lying spamming company and to top it off has issues with blue iris because the iframe interval cannot be set.
Dont use wifi, you need to run power to it anyway, might as well run ethernet.
If you insist, this "Should" work 2MP PIR Wifi camera

There is no way for me to run ethernet throughout my entire house easily, I would rather add power myself where existing power exists. I have vinyl siding and can remove it somewhat easily.

If you think reolink is garbage, is there another camera you can recommend that is outdoor, has at least a speaker, has good nightvision, and is wifi w/ at least 1080p picture quality that works with blue iris and is around $60 dollars?

I live in the US so the camera needs to work here.

Read the wiki above
You might not be able to run to ethernet so you need to hire someone who can... If you set your budget at $60 then you can continue buying crap...
Any IP camera works in the United States.

Hi Fenderman,

My goal is to save money. I'm sure you're right that routing ethernet is the 'right' thing to do, but that will cause me to exceed my budget.
In my experience, these cameras aren't garbage for the money.

The 2MP PIR wifi camera, do you have a link to where I can purchase it?
I did some searching online and all I could find was random websites I haven't heard of. If it doesn't work, I'd like to be able to easily return it.

Also, the wiki you pointed to, I have seen it before and it is quite lengthy, is there a specific section you wanted me to review?

Spending less does not equal saving money.
You will not be able to buy that from a place that is easily returnable.
Pennywise pound foolish, buy crap from amazon then bitch about it.
Reolink is complete garbage with poor low light image quality and worse, bad firmware that causes issues with the feed to blue iris. What is the point of a camera if when you need the footage Murph's law will kick in and it will be corrupt.
How much time did you waste playing with those 4 cameras? What is your time worth?
whats with the laziness, read the wiki. If its too much for you, give up now.

Hi Camoregon,

1) With VInyl siding it should be fairly easy to run cat5e/6 cables - nearly as easy as any other low power electrical lines that you would for a wifi camera - only difference is finding a route to where you'll put the POE switch ( or NVR w/POE ) - this would be the best option for a reliable setup.

2) Fenderman suggested a good option that may meet your requirements of
Outdoor rated, wifi, 2-way talkie, 1080P or better, IP camera, works with Blue Iris ( rtsp ), for <$200 ( maybe )
2MP PIR Wifi camera

3) If your requirements are those listed above and < $60 - that is not so easy, something will have to be compromised.

Closest right not would be the LaView video doorbell - at LaView or NewEgg
LaView PDB1520F1 Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, Laview Wireless Video Doorbell Camera, 1080P HD Security Camera 180 degree Wide Angle, IP54 Weatherpoof Motion Detection WDR Night Vision (16GB SD Card Included) - Newegg.com

Thank you for the information.

I didn't consider routing the cat5e/6 cable under the vinyl....Hmm
1. "if" I was to go that route, and I wanted to hook up about 7 cameras, what considerations do I need to think about?
2. Also, what poe camera ~$60 would you recommend that is outdoor and has 2 way audio, and 1 model that has 1 way audio (microphone) that works with blueiris?

HI Camoregon

As I noted, you will have a challenging time finding a IP POE camera which meet those specs at $60.

There were a few nice deals on BF-Cyber Monday for good quality cameras which did not have audio, or PIR, but were good IP POE cameras. Those deals are all over now.

What camera do you recommend that is POE or WIFI that is > $60, but at the same time is a decent option for the price?
These are cameras for my home, I don't have a lot of money to spend, so I don't want to break the bank.

HI Camoregon,

I do not know what your threat levels are, and how much you want to spend to counter those threats.

By the front door I like to put the Dahua OEM 2MP starlight mini-dome wedge camera at face level.

If receive packages frequently then I like the dual lens version of that - with one lens facing those walking up to the front door, and one lens watching the package drop area. Looney2ns reviewed it - it is really nice and worth it imho - of course if you can't afford it you'll need to find a more affordable solution. Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

What is the model number of the Dahua OEM 2MP starlight mini-dome wedge camera?

@camoregon ,
@PJG ,

You joined the forum today, so you may be at the beginning of the "learning curve".
Lotsa info here, esp in the Wiki and cliff notes. Yes, they're long and detailed. YOU should spend the time to read them, as vs asking US (forum members) to provide tailored tutoring, for your particular situation. I don't mean to sound harsh, but after you spend time on this forum, you'll see frequent posts from newbies asking the same basic questions, ad infinitum. Members grow weary fielding the same questions, so you won't really tap into the knowledge here.

Your education is your chore. Invest the time. use your Google-fu.

PJG: Find the recommended "Dahua OEM 2MP starlight mini-dome wedge camera" yourself by doing a search, instead of asking others.

Camoregon & PJ: There's a dizzying amount of cams/options out there. Consider: every question leads to 2, 3 or 4 more questions.

In closing, Welcome to the forum! It's an awesome place. Lotsa info!

PS: two-way audio with an ip cam is problematic. There is serious lag. IP cams don't typically use VOip, so heads up. Lotsa threads here on people's experience. Audio In is fairly quick (close to real time). Audio Out is laggy. So you don't get a "telephone-like" two-way audio experience.

PS: So some of your cams may be tough to reach with cat cable. Research here about IP over power line adapters. Or the point-to-point Ubiquity options. Or hiring a pro to run cable. There's lots of ways to skin the cat. (but stay away from WiFi cams - look it up)

PS: spending less money leads to frustration - we've seen the tales here many times.

Good luck, and again,
Welcome!

And that’s on a good day!

Purchase 2 Ubiquiti m5 Nanostation Locos for $150.00 + a Dahua 2MP Starlight varifocal from Andy @ $150 + a poe injector for the camera @ $25 and for $325.00 you’ll have a wireless camera that’s hard to beat.
