Hey guys, im just playing around with the autotracking firmware. I wonder why tracking time is always been resetted to "15 seconds" again.
No matter what value i insert, after clicking back to the "deep ivs" menu entry, there is 15 seconds again.
Is the auto track time depending of some other value?
Hello,
Try to use internet explorer browser. That browser will resolve this problem.

If you have this connected to BI or an NVR make sure you are not overriding it through that. Make sure you are using IE when checking the cam GUI and set there, logout back in and see if it sticks. If still no joy, try a factory reset.

Thank you wildcat, using IE solved it

If the latest firmware does solve the 15 second setting, then I think I should give the new firmware a spin. Where can I get the latest firmware?

Wow. What a roller coaster ride of emotions! I've been reading for two days now. I am glad this camera seems to be back to "as advertised" although the workaround seems quite alright to me.

I pre-wired my new build home and need to get on the stick ordering cameras. I wish I'd known about the height of a cameras mounting beforehand, but I think I can make it work. If not, I'll just wire more!

Anyway, I just wanted to kick out a big thanks to those contributing to this forum. Both sides (questions and solutions). Reading through 5 months of posts has allowed me to see the vision of what is possible.

Hey @EMPIRETECANDY ... Gonna need one of these bad boys and 8 fixed cams. Will send dm as soon as I work through my mounting positions.

Here's a preview Pic!

If you purchased them from Andy's shop, directly message and he will remotely update the cameras for you.

Hey all, quick update. I'm testing the new FW released in beta for now to make sure no issues when uploading to this cam. Interesting that there have been some changes to the UI here as I list below in screen grabs. Will be testing this FW to see if this helps with the preset slip and will report back. Good news is bitrate remains intact, no reduction in this or in frame rate.

New AI Live Menu

This is what the AI Live Menu looks like so will overlay Video Metadata in a much more 2020 way :) Personally I like this layout and will test it with the 49225 and 59232

Lastly, IR has been relabelled to Illuminator

Ok quick update on the FW I'm testing. Did some initial preset slip testing this afternoon. Quick and dirty, no dialing in of image but took an in cam snap of starting position and then thrashed the cameras through multiple presets, tracking exercises and tours. I've only got access to 1 49225 that I see preset slip on so tested on that. All others I've used have not had this issue.

Let me get to the punchline before people starting asking....AND......WHAT HAPPENED ?

The new FW doesn't fix the slip completely BUT it does significantly reduce the slip I saw on this 1 unit. Take a look at bottom left of both images to see the difference. About the equivalent of 0.5x to 1x zoom difference in real world FOV.

Here is a snap of the Real position of the preset 'Forest Floor'

After thrashing the camera left, right, up, down, presets, tracking, exercises, zooming in, zooming out across all horizontal and vertical axis, here is the ending pic

I do want to point out, to be fair, there were no notes stating this would address the preset slip BUT I wanted to try it anyway. Will continue to test with this to see if there are any changes after even longer testing and will report back.

Does using a slower PTZ Speed help with the slipping?

FWIW (newb alert) my two cameras bought from Andy last month with the new FW have worked flawlessly with both snapping min/max zoom and 5 presets covering 180 degrees H and 10 degrees V at speed 8 for 24/7. Now need to add something like 5 T2231T-ZS's to complete these systems.

IF they have slipped I can not notice.

Don't worry about slip. The slippage issue affected a small number of units. Many including myself have not experienced any slippage issue. If you start looking for issues you might end up creating one. :p
Instead of adding 5 T2231T's, consider 5 3241T's instead, as it has built-in mic and AI capability.
