Make sure you get some varifocal cameras so that you can place them next to your fixed cameras, for a zoomed in look for facial identification. One camera for overview and one zoomed in. Read this post.Wow. What a roller coaster ride of emotions! I've been reading for two days now. I am glad this camera seems to be back to "as advertised" although the workaround seems quite alright to me.
I pre-wired my new build home and need to get on the stick ordering cameras. I wish I'd known about the height of a cameras mounting beforehand, but I think I can make it work. If not, I'll just wire more!
Anyway, I just wanted to kick out a big thanks to those contributing to this forum. Both sides (questions and solutions). Reading through 5 months of posts has allowed me to see the vision of what is possible.
Hey @EMPIRETECANDY ... Gonna need one of these bad boys and 8 fixed cams. Will send dm as soon as I work through my mounting positions.
Here's a preview Pic!

Why do you have TWO cameras in one location.
When putting two cameras in one place, not including big PTZ cameras, can you have one Ethernet cable and split the POE and data at the end with something fitting in a small junction box? Or do you need to run a 2nd cable? These work very well if you do not want to run a 2nd cable...
