The way I predict this COVID-19 crisis will pan out is that eventually everyone will be required to wear masks (or cover their nose and mouth with cloth-like material) anytime venturing outside. People will be requested to resume work, whether its remotely done or in-person. Businesses will reopen. Academic institutions will open back up to in-person learning rather than distance learning, but this be under the sole discretion of each institution. Cases will continue to go up. Multiple treatment options will become available but only upon successful clinical trialing. Severely ill and people with underlying medical conditions will be requested to stay home. By the time the vaccine becomes available, this will just become another vaccine shot similar to the flu shot (taken on an annual basis), but in this case the COVID shot. Our immune systems will eventually adapt. What remains puzzling is that the so-called recovered patients are experiencing reactivation of the virus in their bodies. Time is of the essence here. Politicians and the media need to stop finger-pointing and get to work. Recover now, make up a commission report later.

Just to name a very few...

Joe Biden told us he would not have created the Travel Ban.

Pelosi told us she would not endorse the Travel Ban (remember the no Travel Ban Bill she wanted to get passed, the day, January 31st, that Trump did the Ban)

So we know how Democrats would have handled this situation and what utter devastation that would have caused.

There's a reason why a lot of people refer to my state as Floriduh but I'd like to upgrade it to Floridumb. Someone is going around in my neighborhood and hanging these flyers on mailboxes...yes, I looked at my security cams and saw who "someone" is. I've got a lot of problems with this:

1. Some people with Covid-19 show no symptoms and can spread it easily to people who are also unaware
2. Covid-19 can live on plastic surfaces 2 -3 days...don't know about eggshells
3. It's a bad idea for kids to be going through your shrubs and flower beds tearing them up
4. Breaker boxes on the outside of the house are a great place to hide an egg but not a great place for kids to look
5. If a kid stumbles and gets impaled or loses an eye good luck with your insurance carrier
6. FL has a statewide stay-at-home order. Kids and parents going through the neighbors yard is not consistent with the order
7. Snotty nosed kids without a doubt will want to hug their buddies, trade eggs, run up to other people.
8. Kids do not understand 6 foot social distancing
9. Would not want people bringing their Covid-19 to my property...guys like to spit...my dog like to walk in my yard...think about it.
10 - 1,000,000,000. Bad, bad idea......

Believe it or not I'm hearing that neighbors had gatherings of up to 20 people in their yard this past week and passing a baby around. WTF! I see homeowners hanging out with their neighbors. Covid-19 is like sex, when you sleep with someone you've slept with everyone they slept with...ewwwwww.

Walmart report....I hate like hell to go there but I "had to" get something. Half the customers are now wearing masks or bandanas. Sams Club with line across the front of the building, apparently limiting the number of people inside.

p.s. I had my N95 Pro mask on and my construction eye protection on and I always carry an anti-bacterial wipe into the store with me.

Good thing we as voters get to hold these people accountable.

Those Democrats definitely failed this test of leadership imho. If Biden is the best the Democrats can put up, I am expecting a Trump win in Nov.

Costco yesterday had a queue to get in one batch of folks at a time, then they held the line until enough exited before letting the next batch in. It was a good experience with no wait in checkout line. I wore a mask I have from hobby work (it is N95 bit not med/pro grade) to reduce any shedding I am doing in case I have it asymptomatically.

Doing a porch picnic tonight. It's warm out. Tomorrow the temp dips again for a week or so so I will enjoy it while I can.

Close to what I was expecting... once we provide the curve has been flatten, keep the R0 down to below 1 using the tactics employed in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore,...

Once we manage this we can see economic activity increase. Will need a proper easy and quick test before this recovery really gets going.

Hypothetically speaking...If I collected the dog shit that several neighbors' dogs leave in my yard and put them in plastic eggs would homeowners be more concerned about the dog shit or the possibility that I may have been coughing when assembling said plastic eggs?

I don't have Costco nearby, but Sam's Club nearby is doing the same by limiting people inside.
But the best thing is using its app to check out. Just scan each item from the app and pay in the app, don't even need to line up, get close to anyone or touch the yucky handheld scanner to pay.

Typical example of politics comes first and people second... or might be last.
If the role of Democrats and Republicans were reversed, I believe Republicans would go against the travel ban also.

Any politicians can be trusted?

To be somewhat fair to Dr. Drew, It cannot be overstated the completely bogus numbers and info that Scientists were getting out of China, that they had to base their opinions on.

It is the reason that this snuck up, for instance, on places like Europe as a whole. No one took this virus seriously until Italy. Go look for comments by Fauci during the first part of February, he was saying the same thing basically, not to worry.

Again if Trump had not issued the China Travel Ban so early we'd have been screwed. As our society and freedoms are night and day different than Wuhan where the Communist Party welded the Chinese people into their residences.

That video showing them literally welding people in their residences was really beyond this world

Anyway, today's press briefing didn't disappoint. WHO is about to get defunded, bigly. Just hope that action translates to words. If we can achieve self-sufficiency at some point that would be great. :thumb:

I continue to applaud at the healthcare workers. Hopefully, we will get over this soon. :)

My concern is how big money is in bed with Communist China, and that will win over, and things will get swept under the rug.

And because of this economic catastrophe good hard working Americans and others around the world will loose their homes, businesses, and retirement funds.

My gut feeling is that this “cure” will in the long run be way worse than the disease. Not just in America but all over the world.

Flame suit on. Discuss.
“"As of last year, Mr. Trump reported that his three family trusts each had investments in a Dodge & Cox mutual fund, whose largest holding was in Sanofi," The Times wrote. Sanofi is a French drugmaker that produces hydroxychloroquine pills under the brand name Plaquenil.

A mutual fund is a portfolio that pools together money from several investors and then invests across various asset classes such as stocks, bonds and other forms of debt.

Business Insider followed the paper trail and concluded that the holding has a maximum value of around $1,300, only slightly larger than similar holdings by Trump funds in Google parent Alphabet, FedEx, and the French bank BNP Paribas.”

When will policies ever be made in the interest of everyday working American people and not for big-pharma, corporations, and the 1%? This is supposed to be an humanitarian issue. This is not the time to be grandiose. There’s going to be a dispute between the East and the West. There’s no doubt about that. The Pacific Ocean is going to be bustling with activity...soon.

Well that's then clearly a case of anti-Trump in our media. As you were
and that is the MAXIMUM value...

And I’d bet you $99 bucks that he didn’t even know he had it in that “mutual fund”. Well, until that NYT article was posted anyway.

What’s sad is that the Elitist’s(in their own shallow minds anyway) base just devours that stuff.
