My Dahua 16ch NVR's fan is noisy with the case lid on, but if you remove the lid you can't even hear the fan with your head next to it. I guess it's the tunnel/vacuum pull with the case lid on.

Anywhere close to 60dba and above for 300W power supply is loud in my opinion and should be rectified by Qsee or the product should be marked for industrial / business use. In a server room environment or designated room with good ventilation this might be acceptable but for home personal use is way too loud especially when the unit is in a close proximity and connected with hdmi to the TV entertainment system. I can't imagine how much louder it will get during summer time. Also I noticed the cheap case fan located close to power supply is glued and slightly loose adding some noise to overall loudness of the system.

Do you have same type and model of the power supply? Did you place iPhone on NVR casing or right next to and took dba reading.
Yeah. Not going to rip it apart to look right now but tried different apps held about foot away according to directions. No matter if this machine was noisy my wife would put me and it out in the barn... :headphones:

Fair enough, but if you decide to do it, there are only 2 screws which are holding casing and then the top easily slides out. :)

I'll definately put up a pic of that power supply my friend as soon as I get a chance. It could be this weekend if my "Honey-do" list is not too long.. :eek:nthego:

It might be a good idea to start another thread..."Noisy NVR" or something like that......

Finally I got mine.
I see in BI there are some controls (PTZ/controls) for brightness, contrast and so on. But they does nothing.
Is there a way to control camera settings without going to browser?
It could be better done in BI due to the profile options.

This youtube video shows the main entries of the camera firmware configuration software Under 'events' it seems likely that this camera also supports IVS, car and face detect.

Can someone confirm whether this is indeed supported ?

Whats the difference between the 4421R and the 4421C apart from the obvious difference of the form?

The C seems to have better IR and no SD or alarm audio capability, but they basically are the same lens etc?

Hi all, I've had this camera for a few months now and am generally happy with it. However i cant get it to recognise the SD card, has anyone successfully got it to record to the card? The Dahua settings don't see it, i've tried re-seating the card without luck.

Looking at getting some Dahua cameras for a new setup, was wondering can the lenses on this cameras be changed easily or do they have to ordered with one particular focal length and left that way? I just cant decide without trying both if I would need 2.8mm or 3.6mm lenses for the various places I want to use them.

Also, is CCTV CAMERA CHINA on aliexpress.com now Sincerity Trade co., LTD?

You need to add AS on the end of the part number to get the mic microphone option included

IPC-HDBW4421R-AS

Interface Built-in Mic(only for -AS)

Are they including a built-in mic now? Because when I got mine I had to plug in an external mic to get audio.

When is says audio in out I'm assuming that you can listen and if you attach a speaker talk through the camera? What does alarm in out mean? The camera could trigger an audible alarm?

Got 2 4421c to play with. 1@6mm 1@8mm gonna use the 8mm for my driveway entrance about 75ft away. Hopefully will be sufficient. Only hooked it up to my Toshiba netbook, so a few questions hopefully can be answered or verified. Gonna be a few more weeks till I can get to the cabin and hook to the NVR.

What is .....
"svc". Options are 1(off) and 2
Same screen for setting resolution (3mp, 4mp, etc)

Also it may be an issue with my old laptop but 3mp and above will not show on live main stream. with the 3500series cams this wasn't an issue. it will take and save snapshots in 4mp. I'd post them but there 11mb each 'wow'!!!

Also they list ifs, face, motion, tripwire, intrusion, etch..

Had to wait a few extra weeks to get the 6-8mm lenses.. :(

Have 2 of them as well. Not sure of the svc unless I can see the screen. Stick with ivs line crossing as its more dependable than motion. No clue as to why you can see main stream but I'm assuming it's the old laptop.
