No, my cams are really dirty and you only see the dirt when the sun shines in the right angle on the cam.

So depends on mounting height and placing.

Most time it looks like its clean.
I also have this on all turrets, so quite normal

Is anyone else's relatively noisy when moving? Mine is loud enough that anyone near it definitely will hear it and often turn to look. It's not motor noise, more like something rubbing/a low squeaking sound. Been like that since I put it up. Turning it by hand I don't hear/feel anything unusual.

I'll have to put in my hearing aids and go check mine.

Yes, I have two of these. Mine sounds like gear noise between the motor and lens head. It is noticeably louder when the tracking period ends and it returns to the default position at high speed.

Yes, noisy enough that most people walking past 15-25ft, look up at it

Yes, both of mine are noisy. Many people walking anywhere close to them notice the sound. I am 100% sure that every one of them are 100% certain that I'm in the house working a gizmo to follow their every step. :nervous:

About the only people who have figured out that there isn't a pervert inside the house following them are the USPS employees delivering the mail on a consistent basis.

OK, so not just me. Mine sounds more like a clearance issue to me. Something rubbing against something with kind of a creak to it. Have to take it down sometime and dab some light grease around and see if/where it makes a difference.

And, yeah, I'm sure most think that I'm actively tracking them. lol That's OK. Mine's right at the front of the house and well within my property so I'm fine with anyone who doesn't already know thinking that somebody is watching them.

I have a highly unusual ability to put things back together and can't figure out why there are one or more screws left over when I think I'm done.
Years ago I had a 1980 Toyota Corolla. The heater core started leaking so i got one at the local parts store. If you know anything about cars, you know that they start with a heater core and then build the entire car around it. Which means that you have to almost totally disassemble the entire car to get it out. In my particular case, most of the dash had to come out and the steering column had to be dropped. I used a Chilton's manual for directions. It took me about 12 hours over the weekend to do the whole job. When finished I had about a dozen screws and a couple of clips left over. But everything worked. Drove the car to work the next day and the new core leaked. So, I took the next day off and did the whole process all over again. This time I must have done a better job putting it back together since I only had about 6-8 (additional) screws and no clips left over.
