  looking to build a computer for my blue iris program. the one i have now is built to Blue iris specs and it's still not strong enough to handle 16 cams. I really want to turn up the program and use more delays and over lays. Any ideas?

  Hey there.. I'm new to the group. Just purchased & partly installed a home surveillance system. The system is made up of 3 Hikvision IP cameras - MFR # DS-2CD2142FWD-IS & an NVR - MFR# DS-7100. The NVR has no hard drive. The plan is to use a TV as the monitor; making a connection using HDMI. But firstly I need to purchase hard drive. Any recommendations?

  Norz, Hi Admin. My unit is Hikvision DS 7200 Series Turbo HD DVR but I cant Proceed to IP unless I have an admin Password to unlock..Please Prvide the Admin Password

  fenderman, I need ur help setting up remote view using EZviz account. i was running the service successfully before . but recently i forgot my password and when i use recovery i receive no message via sms or email. So i decided to contact HIkvision support to delete old account tied to nvr.

  How about starting a forum post area just for ANDY. Then he could use that area to post his current inventories, expected dates and other notes.
  Restrict it from others so it could be clear in one location w/o all worthless ramblings.

  Fenderman, nice to meet you. I have a 5 cam bi system on a 4 gig ram laptop and it stays at 100% all the time. I have done all I know to do from dropping frames, Intel hardware acceleration to direct to disk. If you were to buy a sub 500$ machine today online what would you buy? Thanks

  @fenderman - I followed your recommendation and got a ProDesk 600 G2. You have been recommending this one a lot. All worked fine but a power surge took out my PSU. I was wondering if you ever had to replace a PSU for them and what you choose?

  Hi fenderman,
  I use IP cams that are on home LAN. I have NVR to control, record, playback....
  At home I can watch with screen attached to NVR or android app.
  My problem starts when I am out of home.
  Network provider is changing IP on router daily.
  Router has open DMZ port with NVR IP. When network provider change IP and I am not home I cannot remote to NVR.
  Do You have any advice?
