You have two options. Plug second camera directly to nvr just make a patch cable and activate. It should get an ip from the nvr and come up then you can plug back into switch. Or use sadp tool to manually activate, just plugging into switch won't activate it. -

If you were using hikvision ddns before there was no need to change only terminating service to new registrations. -

Nvr must be connected to Internet and you have to enable ezvid under platform access tab for unit to be online for hik-connect. -

I recommend always making adjustments at the nvr or through ivms4200. Or set up virtual host and log into camera directly. -

Have you checked network speeds compared to bit rate settings? how many cameras total do you have recording? IMO you could lower your settings to reduce bit rate needed and not sacrifice quality. -

I have this same nvr and it's great. What aren't you happy with? Going to be hard to find one in the hikvision line better. -
