You have two options. Plug second camera directly to nvr just make a patch cable and activate. It should get an ip from the nvr and come up then you can plug back into switch. Or use sadp tool to manually activate, just plugging into switch won't activate it.

If you were using hikvision ddns before there was no need to change only terminating service to new registrations.

Nvr must be connected to Internet and you have to enable ezvid under platform access tab for unit to be online for hik-connect.

If you already have ddns set up you can continue to use it. New accounts will not be able to be registered after the February date specified.

I recommend always making adjustments at the nvr or through ivms4200. Or set up virtual host and log into camera directly.

Have you checked network speeds compared to bit rate settings? how many cameras total do you have recording? IMO you could lower your settings to reduce bit rate needed and not sacrifice quality.

I have this same nvr and it's great. What aren't you happy with? Going to be hard to find one in the hikvision line better.

Sadp tool is the best practice for adding cameras. You can find documentation on the website or there are plenty of posts on this forum.

Hikvision released a firmware fix for this issue. Download version 3.4.12 for your NVR. Change port to 587 and it will work fine.

I have the 3mp turrets indoors and really like them. size is fine and quality is great real clean look.

Check the firmware version also. I know this was an issue on the 4mp a couple of firmware versions ago. upgrading might fix the flickering.

That's odd. You are positive about your upload speed? Did you try switching camera 3 or 5 to a port that currently has a viewable camera to rule out a bad port?

at 20fps you would need to be over 7000. change them to 12 fps and 4360 bitrate and see how they work.

definitely sounds like bandwidth issue. run a speed test and post your upload speed along with the mainstream camera settings for recommendations.

you can run all camera wires to switch, run one wire from switch to NVR and then connect the NVR to your LAN.

Variable, medium quality, 8fps, 2600 max. not sure why but indoor mounting I don't see issues with low light. probably cause ir is enough. outdoor may need additional lighting but ive seen really nice outdoor quality too.

for a 5mp at highest video quality at 8 fps you would need the bitrate around 5700. I am thinking bitrate is set to low unless your FPS is 4 or lower.
