    IPC-Color4K-T Looks Terrible in BI

I just got this IPC-Color4K-T to replace my Reolink Trackmix and while it looks quite good even with default settings in the camera's web interface it looks awful in the blue iris web interface or console. I have tried all the encoding and quality settings in the camera but nothing seems to...

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

...chips and algorithms, quality of lens, fixed vs vatifocus, .. Annke sells a hikvision oem camera, and thus it meets standards better than Reolink. Still the model you are looking at is one of the more affordable ones. Annke does sell better models, and if you are using blue iris or other...

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

Even at 12MP you won't be picking up boogers in noses and blackheads and clogged pores LOL. The light on the Reolink wouldn't be much better than a cellphone or two flashlight - looks bright looking at it, but the dispersion of the light is poor and unless the person is a few feet away, it will...

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

...isn't necessarily what I'm going for. I'm hoping to get better imagery for object/facial recognition. I thought the 700 lumen light on the Reolink would help with color night time imagery. I was pretty impressed with the POE doorbell. It's a 5mp 1/2.7" CMOS Sensor. Probably because people...

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

It's fractions and the 1/1.8" is bigger. All around much better camera.

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

Thanks for that. What makes the empire tech better when it has a smaller image sensor? (4-MP 1/1.8" CMOS image sensor ) The one thing I did like about the Reolink is the built in 700lumen light that turns on when it detects motion.

    Annke C800 vs Reolink RLC-1224A

Both of those cams you listed will do terrible after dark due to tiny sensors. Except for their Doorbell cam, Reolink should be avoided. In most situations, anything over 4mp is overkill. Best all around cam at this point is HERE

Your link doesnt go to a camera manufacturer and I still think he;s a bot or a spammer

Hey everyone some questions from a newbie!

You would be better off with fewer, but better cams, then more cams that are crap and are useless. Reolink does a very good job of still images. But at night perps are a complete motion blur with missing body parts LOL.... What you mean a missing hand isn't normal LOL :lmao (plus look at the...

Hey everyone some questions from a newbie!

...this is only for recording outside area - 24-32 crappy cams are too much. More crappy cams don't change anything - they are crappy cams :) Reolink is company focused on house market - they sell cheap cams designed to sell directly (over internet) or in big DIY / home improvement stores (like...

    Review: Dahua 8MP / 4K 25x Starlight IR PTZ - PTZ5A4K-25X / SD5A825GA-HNR

...I've been fighting this camera since buying it. I'm not the expert that a lot of folks here are, but on the recent firmware I'm still getting reolink style ghosting at night and generally poor image quality. Going to keep tweaking shutter settings, illumination power and the like, but seems...

Reolink NVR - max cable length 260 ft?

It wouldn't surprise me if the reolink supplied cables are CCA. I've seen that in the specs for a few different camera kits. If you put a midstream switch into the run, that will extend your range. The length limit is for the wire run. If the cameras and switch meet specs, you should be able...

Reolink NVR - max cable length 260 ft?

Looked up the max cable length runs for Reolink NVR systems and they say it is 80 meters or 260ft. Can this be longer if you have a POE switch added? We have our NVR in an AV closet in our family room. From there it travels about 120fr to a large pole building where we have a POE switch with a...

I need recommendation for good wifi cameras for indoor and outdoor (and potentially door bell, door lock, flood lights, and garage door opener).

...costs, etc.) Next step was going local storage and no subscriptions (still using WIFI but now learning about POE). I bought Amcrest, Reolink, and a few other highly purchased cameras from Amazon when first getting cameras and not understanding much. It was a mix of POE and WIFI. Since then...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

It is kinda ironic, we all know how bad ReoLink Cams are yet we have a 70 page Forum Thread supporting their Doorbell Cam...lol They got one right... ;) Now if they would only go the next step and include WDR or BLC...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

...you’re using unify stuff, it’s done me very well over the years both personally and at work. Second why on earth are you using anything from Reolink except a doorbell and on top of that why are you using their app? Quick search on here will show just how much love there is for that company...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Look at the total lack of disrespect these moderators have for paying customers on the OFFICIAL reolink subreddit. That is the problem I am having here. As a user I have a right to submit any kind of feedback I want, and they try to belittle my concerns and look for reasons to marginalize me...

    REQ|Q: Peephole Door IP/POE/ 5MP ONVIF compliant camera F4/IPG-8940PGS-AI -- tips & tricks?

The 5MP camera from outside looks like a regular door peephole. Bought via Aliexpress. It's not compatible with Reolink NVR, but I managed to use all NVR feature (recording, alarm, motion tracking) by attaching it to the router. not NVR. Unfortunately, after the recent Reolink NVR firmware...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

...Of course I got all the IP stuff right but when you setup these doorbells you need to remember to also enable the various feeds in the Reolink app (which I initially forgot to do). So now the doorbell works perfectly just like the other one and I definitely like the format and color for my...

New to CCTV - Can you give me an honest opinion on my plan please ?

NVR with a UPs would be able to serve this. But with a computer trying to beat that setup as far as up time, I would recommend an inexpensive laptop with a Raid enclosure + UPS. I run both a NVR and Blue iris as a redundant system on two 1500W UPS (one each) and the NVR runs 12 hrs with the UPS...
