Dahua low profile PTZ - need a low profile mount

That plate is exactly what I need! Thanks so much. Weird, I just double checked and my box didn't come with the plate. I didn't even know about it. I brought it from Aliexpress and sat on it for too long before considering mounting. Might have to see if I can find it sold separately.

Dahua low profile PTZ - need a low profile mount

Hi, Does the (DH-SD1A404XB), the low profile PTZ, fit the PFA-100 mount? It's not officially listed in the manual. I want a low profile setup. The DH-SD1A404XB is low profile, but the official mounts are super bulky and would defeat the purpose of having a low profile camera. cc...

How to connect a 3-wire audio in/out to a Microseven M7WP-MIC microphone and speakers?

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure if there was a standard way of connecting these things - like you buy this gadget here to take care of it. It's odd that these microphones are built for IP cameras, but you need to MacGyver your own connections.

How to connect a 3-wire audio in/out to a Microseven M7WP-MIC microphone and speakers?

It does, I'd just like to see what an external microphone can do. The built-in mic is OK, but I wasn't wowed.

How to connect a 3-wire audio in/out to a Microseven M7WP-MIC microphone and speakers?

Hi, I have a Dahua DH-SD1A404XB. The audio in/out connection is just 3 wires (red, white, black). It looks like this below. How does that connect to the Microseven M7WP-MIC microphone? The microphone has a 12V input DC barrel input, and RCA connector for audio. The microphone comes with a...

length of bolt needed to go through wood siding and wood panel in garage wall?

Newbie here installing a camera. Wondering how long a bolt needs to be to make it though wood siding and the wood panel that makes up most garage walls/exterior. I put my hands across it and I have a hard time telling. Would a 2" long bolt be enough to poke through and give enough length for...

The sun is hot - do you shade your cameras?

I have a turret camera that will get installed on a sunny wall. The sun will beat down on it pretty much the entire day. I think it'll get hotter than the 104F operating temperature, but not sure. For cameras that can't be protected under an eve, do you do something special to keep it from...

Thanks all. That gives me some things to go check out.

Does multiple RTSP clients consume more bandwidth than a single client?

I have a NVR application that records the RTSP stream from a Dahua camera. This is RTSP client #1. I also want to have another application to consume the stream and do object recognition on it. RTSP client #2. Does having two RTSP clients double the bandwidth needed from the camera? Or does...

Dahua PFA137 junction box - is top/bottom orientation important?

The PFA137 is a round junction box, and I wanted to mount it on a vertical wall. It's marked inside with a "top" and "bottom" to show the intended orientation when mounted on a vertical wall, like this: The conduit opening is on the bottom and the right side. If I want the conduit opening...

camera CPU load - multiple devices vs single devices consuming stream

Hi, After running my Dahua camera for a while on desktop, I've noticed it's slightly warm. There is usually only a single client consuming the stream, my NVR program. I was wondering if multiple clients consuming the stream would cause more CPU/heat? I've tried it myself, but it's hard to...

REVIEW- Dahua SD1A404XB-GNR 4MP AI mini PTZ

I've never used a PTZ Dahua before. Is it typical to be able to set locations (like location 1, location 2, etc) on the camera and via some API (raspberry pi, etc) command the camera to go to those locations? So you can write your own script to have the camera go to and stop at various...

Mount this Dahua PTZ under a lamp?

I wanted to run this by you folks and see if you have tips on installation. I wanted to mount a Dahua Mini PTZ, DH-SD1A404XB, under this lamp. The lamp is under an eve and looks like this when seen from below: The lamp is square, and is exactly 5" on each side, and the bottom lip is 0.5"...

REVIEW- Dahua SD1A404XB-GNR 4MP AI mini PTZ

Can the cable make the 90 degree turn right out of the camera like that? I'm actually wanting to mount it that way permanently - would it be problematic? I saw @bigredfish note that you have to aim it right because the firmware always assumes horizontal mounting. But aside from that?

REVIEW- Dahua SD1A404XB-GNR 4MP AI mini PTZ

@bigredfish How did you mount it flat to the stuco like that? I'm used to turret cameras that I need to have access to the back-side of the wall in order to mount the camera directly. Otherwise, I have to use a junction mount. Does the hardware that comes with this camera allow it to be...

    small outdoor POE camera?

Sorry if I'm over posting today. I've been considering POE cameras near the front door thinking I need a PTZ to see packages. After talking to wife, maybe small is better than PTZ. But the options are seem pretty slim. I see mini PTZ's, and I thought a fixed camera would be much smaller, but...

options for small PTZ for front door

Good point, I'd be interested on the sensor type too. When I think about how to mount these, I'm kinda stuck with using the round junction mount (PFA130E), which makes the thing pretty big. I wish there was a way to just mount this onto the siding, but I don't want to drill such a big hole.

options for small PTZ for front door

Hi, I've been eyeing smaller PTZ's. I have a IPC-T5442 for the back of the house which I really like. Good picture quality in the dark. But it's aesthetically too big to mount near the front door. To add to that, I kind of want PTZ, well pan and tilt, not really need zoom. I've been...

YooSee SD-M5 doorbell: 1080p, PoE, RTSP, Onvif, only $66

Hi @Elton Noway, Thanks for this info. Sorry I'm digging up an older post, but I'm interested in this Yoosee doorbell camera. I don't really need features like correct time stamps or motion alerts or 2-way radio. But I do need a local video stream from the camera (without giving it internet...

wall mounting - does this look ok?

Thanks for the reminder. Regarding the di-electric gel, do you just fill the female connector with it and then stick the ethernet male connector into it? It doesn't interfere with the connection? I've never seen it done before and only just now google it and saw this image. I kinda surprised...

    will this POE injector work?

Thanks. Would a passive POE injector that puts 12V onto the 4 pairs of Ethernet pins work for POE cameras? Or is the power negotiation required for the camera to work (i.e. 802.3af)?

wall mounting - does this look ok?

I'm getting ready to do the install on my camera. Just wanted to check with more experienced folks to see what likely issues are going to come up. I didn't like the way the wall mount looks, so I was thinking of using the junction mount that seems to be used for ceiling type mounting. Here's...

    will this POE injector work?

Trying to save some money on equipment. I want to use a POE power injector for the camera in the garage rather than a POE switch. The injector is listed as "802.3af Full 15 watts". Does that seem like it would work for a IPC-T5442TM-AS ? Here's the link to the power injector...

    Dahua w/ pan and tilt?

Hi, I have a IPC-T5442TM-AS (Dahua 4MP 1/1.8" turret camera). I really like the night time performance and the non-intrusive look. I'm looking to get another similar camera, but with the ability to pan/tilt. Does something like that exist in the US market that I can buy/order from Andy? I...
