Yes Yahoo needs app specific passwords now; I simply switched back to gmail (which was fixed sometime back)

I've tried enabling two factor, then creating a app specific password (since this is more secure than just enabling less secure apps), but this still also tests "Fail"; doesn't give the message where the authentication is wrong.

I use the Hikvision DS-2CD2432F that Abbell linked to above as a baby cam - It's wired via the ethernet in the room, but temporary held to a cupboard via some duct tape. Later on this may be repurposed as the hallway camera facing the front door and installed properly.

Looks like the Dahua villa plus a couple of monitors and using standard SIP app on mobile devices may still be cheaper than the Doorbird

Not sure who you are addressing your question to. If me, then I mentioned kodi accessing directly as an alternative to using another app installed on the same device (so you don't have to switch out from kodi). On the remote access away from home, I use a VPN setup rather than opening ports...

Kodi can load the RTSP stream directly from the camera. You can create a file containing the link in an accessible location to Kodi and then open/add it to favourites.

Anyone have experience of the Doorbird? It's a fair bit more expensive than the Ring (though nothing like the Loxonne equivalent) but being POE it may actually work.

These are great deals, shame the UK dell outlet doesn't seem to have anything near this good - way more expensive and only i5s!
