Hi all, So ignoring the Colour VU Light cams, what right now is the best IR-based Night camera to buy when there is no light? Another question is, if running one of these cams via WiFi and recording via NVR 24/7, would that kill the wifi bandwidth big time?

I was thinking the same, but the HD will still get hot as its recording 24/7 Just to keep things on the safe side, i'm gonna use the fan out of the old NVR and get a combo of SATA splitters to dual power the HD and Fan. -Anyone foresee any problems with doing this? Thanks

Hi, Purchased the ds-7608ni-k1/4p which replaces my old Hik NVr. My old NVR had a fan fitted inside, however the ds-7608ni-k1/4p doesn't have any. Can I fit the old one out of my previous NVR? If so, how, the connection on the new NVR board is missing Any ideas?

Coney, looking at the specs, my old and current DS-2CD2335FWD-I (0.008 lux) is marginally worse in low light than your DS-2CD2H25FHWD-IZS (0.0068 lux) That mean Powered by Darkfighter is better than Pure Darkfighter…?

Couple of forums and people I've spoken to have mentioned that 2.8 and 4mm lens have been found to be out of focus on certain parts of the scree, the 6mm sits nicely in the middle of the lens range, i.e. 2.8, 4, 6, 8, 12mm hence the reason why its a popular choice
