Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

Never mind. I see where you answered that question in a previous post. Thank you. I will try your suggestion.

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

Are you referring to this? If so, will the 4 cameras setup I configure survive a power loss and then resume when power returns with no user intervention?

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

As it turned out we needed to monitor not one but four cameras. We felt the best solution was the Synology VisualStation VS360HD. Thanks again for all your help. It was an education>

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

I searched Dahua and could not find this. Thank You!!! Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I now have a few options to decide upon. I will let you know which way I went and how it worked out.

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

So what good is a stand alone NVR when the camera in question must not only go to the monitor but also to the main 14 camera NVR. If I am missing how to do that, please educate me. The network decoders look like there is a LAN input (for the camera I presume) but how would it connect to the...

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

All the solutions being offered (Roku, smart-tv, fire stick, etc) require intervention if the power is interrupted. Looks like I may have to entertain getting the 3X Logic VX-2V-MD-RIWH for $660

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

Sorry, but for reasons too lengthy to explain I need to go the camera route. The only equivalent Hikvision camera to the 3x with outdoor rating (IP67) I can find is the DS-2CD2185FWD-IM which seems to be discontinued. I have searched for hours.:(

There is one I found. 3X Logic VX-2V-MD-RIWH. $660!!! No way.

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

So no one makes a combination ONVIF / HDMI outdoor camera?? Only indoor? That doesn't make sense.

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

That won't work. We need at least an 18" screen.

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

Only a couple. I need more cameras.

But the only problem is that they are not weatherproof which I need for our situation. Any other suggestions?

Split Camera feed to HDMI and CAT5e

I hope I am in the correct forum for this question. I will be installing a Synology DS918+ Surveillance System with about 14 IP POE cameras. The cameras will be Amcrest IP4M-1028EW. For just ONE of the cameras I want to display the feed on an HDMI TV/Monitor as well as have it go to the...

    Storage Question

This is a Club that is occupied about 4 hours a day. 10 of the 14 cameras are inside. When the building is unoccupied there are no lights. There are no fans or other devices to cause movement of any kind. So I was hoping VBR would save 25 to 30% off the calculation.

    Storage Question

Thank you both! Great tool. If you are recording with variable bitrate and 95% of the video being recorded has no motion whatsoever, does this significantly reduce storage requirements?

    Storage Question

Sorry to ask a question that has probably been asked before. I am setting up a 16 camera system. I have to decide on the mix of 4mp vs 8mp cameras. An important part of that decision is how much storage space would be required to save 30 days with all cameras recording 24/7 at about 20fps. Is...

    Bandwidth and Camera Type Questions

I will be using 16 4MP cameras - probably IPC-HDW5431R-ZE. I want to be sure the total bandwidth will not exceed the capacity of a NVR5216-16P-4KS2 which I think is 320 Mbps. I looked on Dahua's web site for the camera specs but it is a bit confusing. Can someone let me know if I will be ok...

    IPC-HDW5431R-Z vs. IPC-HDW5231R-Z

It's a range where members can swipe an access card and come in and shoot 24/7. Some members (or guests) are either very poor shooters or they are deliberately shooting recklessly. So we just need to see that. The cameras will be mounted on the ceiling about 7 - 10 ft behind the shooter. Each...

    IPC-HDW5431R-Z vs. IPC-HDW5231R-Z

It's an indoor gun range. From 35 ft I would like to see the bullet holes in a paper target. If not 22 caliber, then at least 38. I'm not sure where I would set the optical zoom but the FOV would probably be between 45° and 60°. So maybe a focal length of 8mm?

    IPC-HDW5431R-Z vs. IPC-HDW5231R-Z

So the only thing I keep hearing is that the 4MP version is bad in low light conditions. My application is indoors with good lighting. I need good detail. Am I better off with the IPC-HDW5431R-Z?

    SmartPSS Question

I am new to this world. Our club will have 2 or 3 members who will have access to the NVR. Will one purchase of SmartPSS allow three people to install it on their PC or does each person have to buy it? Oh wait - it's free, isn't it?!?! Duh! I confused it with BI.

    NVR vs BI

I'm leaning toward the NVR. You can basically install it and forget it. No OS upgrades to worry about. I'm getting the feeling that many on this forum enjoy the ongoing interaction with the products that they purchase. As much as I am also that kind of person, in this instance I need to keep the...

    NVR vs BI

This installation at my club will need to go weeks without any intervention. Can you configure a PC to reboot and load the program by itself if power is lost longer than a UPS can provide?

    NVR vs BI

I am tasked with installing a 16 camera system for my club. I will be going exclusively with IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras (or maybe the ZE's), no legacy analog. I originally thought that I would go the NVR route with the NCR5216_5232-16p-4ks2. But now I'm rethinking a PC based sytem with BI. My past...

2017 Dahua Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-ZE), ePoE, NEW!

Pardon a newbee. So you can't change the zoom/field of view while watching from the NVR or remotely?
