IPC-HDW5231R-ZE set to H.265. BI, Hardware acceleration when set to "default" works fine. Using either Intel or Intel + VPP (GPU set to ANY), video freezes (shows warning icon) and "seems" like reconnecting (timestamp changes after 10s or so on overlay-from camera not using BI overlay).

Like title says, this camera (ancient) doesn't seem to work well IR illumination. While the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE has great IR illumination works perfectly at night, I put this camera next to it to see if that IR would allow the Axis 207W to see at night. No luck. I removed the camera's housing but...

Got 128gb sd cards in two Ipc-hdw5231r-ze cameras and when I check on cam's web page, it shows 0/122gb etc., how to enable continuous recording in camera? I was able to format but it stays the same. Does in camera motion detection need to be enabled for it to record?

I am looking at the software part now and wondering about the quick-sync requirement for BI. Is this to help in decode/playback? Thought is that if direct to disk recording is enabled, the stream is not processed or encoded so, what's the role of quick-sync during recording?

I realized members(mostly?) use BlueIris here (and probably, I might end up with that as well) but, wanted to compare with OpenSource solution like ZoneMinder for example. Eventually, I'd like to integrate the security camera feeds into Home Assistant (don't ask me how yet.. will get there)...
