I'm missing something... I used sadp to change the ip to 192.168.188.XX just like my other cams but with the cam hooked to my router the browser can't find the login screen even though sadp see's it. I switched it to 192.168.1.99 using sadp and had no problem using the browser to login. Since...

Well I plugged in the power supply & nothing has exploded so far. I don't know if its running on POE or the power supply but it's been very consistent so far.

I'm sure thats possible but I hope the NVR is ok.

Well now I'm even more confused as I already have the "adding method" in manual for both of my Mini PTZ's. I don't remember why but the mini PTZ had to be setup that way. If this is already in manual how is it working?

I really don't want to use the power from the NVR for the PTZ's anymore. Anybody know how I go about doing that? Please... Pretty Please :) With sugar on top...LOL

Well the power source is wired up & plugged into the cam just not plugged into the wall....yet. I cant find anything in the NVR's menu's to turn off POE so I'm guessing its ok to plug the external source in but was hoping someone would confirm. FYI: I'm just an idiot muddling my way through ;)...

No I didn't as I would have to remember how I assigned the port to the cam.....LOL

Well things have changed, the cam is dropping out on a regular basis now. I want to try an external power source, my question is if I hook up an external power source do I need to do anything in the NVR considering it's POE? When I originally got the cam I hooked it to my computer & external...

I unplugged the camera for a day while I was at work, plugged it back in & has been good ever since. I will post if things change.

Update: DHL sent it to collection so I paid it today.

I have never checked as this has never been an issue, I will look into that. I just don't understand how the monitor hook directly to the NVR can lose 1 cam & all the others are fine but yet I can see it on the network/pc's. I will probably be replacing this cam soon so it might be moot point...
