    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

That’s good to hear :) In regards to the worse blur with faster exposure I would so it’s simply “less light = higher gain = more noise reduction processing issues”. Sounds like you found the sweet spot at least. I normally run 1/50 at night on my G5 colourVu just to have clearer faces etc...

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

HikVision Australia say the same thing but I never have an issue using the Europe portal for cameras and nvr firmware. It’s up to you, have bricked many things in the past even when the firmware came from the suppliers here in Australia so it’s always a risk unfortunately. If you have good local...

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

I defiantly have a different view on this :D, for $300 what other camera can do what these do? nothing from Dahua. If you can find one, go get it haha. $300 is crazy cheap for camera with this much performance and feature set. I would love for them to be perfect but that's not realistic, there...

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

Hey, Had a look at the stream for a few hours and it looks fine for me haha. The ghosting I think you’re talking about is probably the noise reduction. Looks like your lighting is controlled so you may want to make a schedule for night and day and have different settings for both. I would try...

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

Hi, this is the firmware I have been using on my G5 cams " Australian stock" and had no issues. DOWNLOAD EU PORTAL (hikvisioneurope.com) Do you have images / video of your issue?

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

Hey, I have not really had an issue in the last year, also I believe the latest firmware is 5.7.11 now. Can you post some example footage or images of the issue? Is the Camera behind an NVR or just standalone?

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

Just want to confirm the Event Stream bitrate is set correctly. On the camera the Event stream may not be visible, but if using an NVR you should have the below option. Make sure the "Main Stream (Normal) and Main Stream (Event)" is set the same. Refresh page and double check the bitrate stuck...

How to view recorded video directly from camera?

Hey, what are the symptoms please? EG. Playback tab missing? Failed to playback? etc etc Instead of IEtab, try using the native IE Mode for Edge which works fine with the old Web Components. Image below is IE Mode on 2387G2 Firmware 5.7.11 with SD card playback using the "Web Components"...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

Morning mate, If you have a 8MP camera, don’t use less than 8192mbps. Also, extremely important is to make sure your event stream matches your main stream for bitrate. Often the event stream bitrate will not stick and you have to set it a few times manually.

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

Hi, thanks fir the update. Yeah I didn’t have any image processing on and had a bunch of issues. My issue ended up being the “main event stream” was not working correctly and had a much lower bitrate then the main stream so when and event such as “intrusion” happened it switched to the Event...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

Hi The build I had for .150 was an early version and not finished. I have since been given the final version and yes it had all kinds of issues. I’m currently running on .131 I believe as it is the most stable in my circumstances. Though I appreciate the polygon based motion detect zones I do...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

No I believe this can only be done on the NVR locally. I have not tried on a Non Acusense NVR but I also thought this feature to was limited only to the AcuSense NVR's. This may have changed in later firmware's so don't quote me on that. You do have the option to search the timeline for line...

    AcuSense vs Dahua SMD Plus

Hey, I have been using only HikVision Acusense for a while now and was wondering if anyone has done any direct comparisons between HikVision and Dahua's offering. On paper the G2 AcusSense 8MP has a better sensor and would be better for low light, have not had a chance to test the equivalent...

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

Hey, Im not not a fan of other modes I just go wide otherwise you create blind spots. And if your not getting the detail because of distance you probably need more cameras :). Also I try to keep my cameras no higher than 2.8m because you end up looking at the top of people’s heads haha. I...

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

Please excuse the crude MS paint goodness. You nearly have complete coverage with a small section at the back "Yellow" that will be a slim blind spot. The love hearts indicate areas where a wide angle camera will probably struggle at the distance to resolve faces etc. Even with 8MP this will...

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

Did it again, skipped your point. I wouldn't go with Option 1 personally as the low light performance of the AcuSense range is critical in my opinion. Also I prefer the camera to do the work and not the NVR.

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

It's really up to you, 2 and 3 will achieve the same result. If you want to save money just buy a normal NVR and 5 AcuSense Cameras. This is what I do and I have 600+ cameras :p. It's 2020 and personally I wouldn't go below 6MP ever. These new 6MP and 8MP sensor's are far better then the 4MP...

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

Sorry I didn't really answer your question. The point of the AcuSense NVR's is to add AcuSense support to cameras that do not have the feature. This is limited to 4 Channels at 4MP each. You do not need an AcuSense NVR to use the AcuSense cameras.

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

Yes it does get confusing and depending on who you talk to you get a different answer. You are correct tho, you cannot double it up. So if you have an AcuSense nvr you can either tell the nvr to do the human / vehicle filtering or if you had an acusense camera also you could tell it to make the...

    Hikvision Acusense 8MP motion blur

Hi, The ghosting / trailing is generally noise reduction, I run my G2 Acusense at 40% noise reduction because of this. Also If anyone else is having issue with image quality and the freezing on motion for this camera see my other post. HERE Also, disable WDR and set your exposure to 1/50...

Adding one camera cuts off signal to another camera

I have actually had this happen with cloned cameras :P, I believe it's because they both had the same hardware ID / Mac Address. But yes probably IP conflict.

    Hikvision motion settings

Hi, It may help to post some images of your schedule page and also the bottom bar in your playback. If the bar in playback is blue and solid it's most likely set to continuous record. If its pink and has gaps its set to motion. The motion regions aren't exactly accurate and you will get a lot...

    Hikvision configuration with AcuSense

If the budget allows for it I would go non AcuSense NVR and 5x 8MP AcuSense. Based on your option I would go with Option 3 so you get the on NVR AcuSense search functions. They may have added this to newer firmware on non AcuSense NVR, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The reason for all...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

Hi All, EDIT: Firmware 5.5.131 does not have the quality issue. I have been having non stop quality issues with the latest firmware for the DS-2CD2386G2-IU. I have spoken to HikVision and they have been able to re produce it and have given me temp firmware that should resolve the issue. The...

    Hikvision "Chinese Hardware" remote upgrade?

Thanks, is there another software needed? or just TFTP? The steps are summarised as follows : Connect up to the NVR serial console using a 'serial TTL to USB convertor'. <---- this Gain access to the bootloader by interrupting the boot process. <---- this Sorry, have not done this in about...

    Hikvision "Chinese Hardware" remote upgrade?

To clarify, If my model has plain text bootpara I can convert it to EN and upgrade to the highest available firmware without it "detecting it" and changing it back? or if i go above a certain firmware version it will break it regardless. Also, do you have detailed step by step instructions on...

    Hikvision "Chinese Hardware" remote upgrade?

So even if I physically connected with serial it would not be able to upgrade? Be nice if some wizard had made a tool to do this by now haha. From talking to some open people at HikVision Australia, they have the tools to just flash the firmware directly on the board, regardless if it's Chinese...
