Has anyone got any experience of the ACESEE AVEN40H500?

Seems to be a version of the S500 being discussed here but under the ACESEE branding and is a varifocal:

http://gzacesee.en.alibaba.com/product/60386860562-801958174/IP66_waterproof_H_265_support_outdoor_5mp_ip_camera.html
There is something WAY off with that listing @Sully. They claim that it has 5MP but then state it has the effective pixels of a 1.3MP cam. Then they claim the sensor is IMX178 (1/1.8 sensor) but looking at the photo the lens clearly indicates a 1/3 lens? Also the new cams from Longsee support H.265 streams but the linked one above only does H.264.

I would say IF it has the same sensor as the Longsee S500 then it might be decent, but its hard to say since it isn't clear on what exactly is being sold by this vendor.

@ruppmeister - Yep, went through all that with them online, they confirmed it has the same sensor and processor as the S500.

It seems to be a Longse cam as the pro-forma invoice is for logse.com
@klasipca - They do have AVEN60H500 on their site, and if the specs are related to the the H500 part of the ID then the specs look like the S500 from what I can see.

Have asked them to clarify the issues again and will pull the trigger if all is good and report back once I have got it.

I think if it is a true 5MP cam with the Sony sensor AND varifocal AND under $100, then SCORE!!! Let us know what you find out @Sully.

Clarified with Enya, in fact upgraded to AVEN60H500 to get better ir range.

Trigger pulled, hope it's as good as promised when it arrives.

Dome Cover?
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/H-265-POE-IP-camera-IR-dome-5MP-HD-lens-super-low-stream-ONVIF-2-0/322193_32597133089.html

(noob alert)
Does it come with a cover? If not, how do I get the right type and size?

I am looking to place it outside under the single storey house eave. Low chance of getting wet.
IR is important.
Then not knowing where the camera is pointed is next important.
Anti vandal after that.

Side note, I wanted bullets but don't want to intimidate people or have my house look like a fortress. (cheers, awesome thread).

it does not come with a cover.
Because when you place a cover on this camera, the IR light will reflect in the dome and you won't see anything.
There is a "trick" they have on some dome camera's and that is shutting the lens off with some foam stuff that the lens does not see the dome.
But then still you have the IR sometimes in your image.

How is the H500 different in spec then?
