With the camera I didn't set up manually as per djangel's method, I still have no PTZ. Can you let me know what the camera and PTZ selections should be please? I see there's no Huisun option under PTZ any more.
Make sure your Discovery port in BlueIris is the same as your camera's http port. Also, use the OXML profile under the PTZ/Control. I'm almost certain that OXML = Onvif XML
Also, make sure you are using the correct userid and password when using the Find/Inspect option in BI.

BlueIris

4.2.3 is out I wonder what it updates
4.2.3 - October 26, 2015

  • Based on feedback that some users are still experiencing lockups with audio encoding after 4.2.1,, this component has been replaced.
  • Unless you have multiple camera frame windows open, the page up/down keys will now move between selected camera groups in the main window.
  • The View command has been changed to Open on the right-click Clips menu. A new View submenu was added there to select between the Alerts, Clips, Flagged, and now FTP backup queue and Convert/Export queue lists.
  • When a clip is being converted or uploaded, a progress bar now appears on its thumbnail in the clip list.
  • The update package contains newly signed versions of Admin.exe and Service.exe as the previous code signing certificate was expired.

The new Huisun mini bullet arrived today. It only took 8 days for it to be delivered by USPS from the date that I ordered it from Monica, and the box was in good shape and not looking like a football. :)

Setting it up was fairly easy and only took a few minutes to have it up and running in both I.E. and B.I.

Getting the PTZ and presets to work in B.I. has me stumped. I've tried everything I can think of but can't get the PTZ to work at all in B.I. I've tried everything recommended in this thread except for modifying the registry. Is that something that I need to do to get the PTZ to work? The PTZ works fine in the browser interface and I've set up a few presets. Here's some captures of my settings.

Problem is your discovery port. Set it to be the same as the camera's http port and Find/Inspect again.

I have the http port set to 3244 and the discovery port set to 3244 as shown above but still not working. I tried doing the Find/Inspect again also with no luck. Could it have something to do with the port that I'm using?

Make sure you are using a valid username and password. Also, try removing the :3244 after the ip and try again. If it still doesn't work, set the discovery port to 80 and see if that works.

I changed the HTTP port in the cameras configuration using IE to 80 and then changed it to 80 in BI's discovery port and then ran the Find/Inspect again and now it works. I guess it doesn't like the port I was using. I might try some other ports because I normally don't use 80 with my cameras. Thanks for the help djangel. Much appreciated.

I tried several different ports and PTZ worked with all of them. Then I went back to the original 3244 port that didn't work before and now it works too. Go figure. :rolleyes-new:

Great camera! Hope to get it mounted in the next day or two.

Nice! I've noticed on mine the need to reboot the camera when adding new accounts in order to be usable, so maybe is the same for changing ports and other settings.

Thanks for this mod djangel!
I have just updated my BI, with your registry tweaks, and even the presets are working with my iPhone app!

Any updates to getting PTZ working? Tried the reghack, no joy..

running BI 4.2.4.3
BlueIris is able to get the camera's PTZ settings now, so more than likely is a configuration issue.

Use the Find/inspect option with a valid username and password. Also, make sure the discovery port is set to whatever your camera's http port is (default = 80). You should be able to pull the settings then. Only thing left to do is to manually change the presets as described here:

I noticed that everything started working with version 4.2.4.3 x64 except the presets. When I followed your instructions for the above link then the presets started working too! Everything now working in Blue Iris without registry hacks needed. Thank you djangel!
