Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English

OMG I could kiss you You guys have made my day have spent weeks emailing ebay supplier trying all methods around all different types of digicap.dav files and nothing. This however worked flawlessly i just had to do a manual reboot after install(unplug cable) .. chinese v5.3.0_150327 ds-2cd2332-i to english V5.2.5 build 141201. BIG THANKS GUYS THIS WILL HELP ALOT OF PEOPLE IM SURE!!!

Yes but this firmware was designed around a 5.3.0 to get it back to 5.2.5 if you are on 5.2.8 all you have to do is the mtd hack and it will become English.

Thanks, just tested this on 2 2132f-is which came with 5.2.8 Chinese, works a treat, now 5.2.5 multi language. Didnt really fancy attempting the mtd hack as not too confident.

Did it again. I put on my camera 5.3.0 English - Then i got mismatch language message, then i put Downgrade and i got 5.2.5 but I have only one language to chose - Chinese :mad-new: I dont know what to do next.

try clearing your browser files, if it still doesnt work you will probably have to do the mtd hack.

Is your camera is English or Chinese region?
If your camera is a Chinese Region and now on 5.2.5 and for some reason the language is not taking on the downgrade just follow the 5.2.5 / 5.2.8 mtd hack in the sticky section.

My camera is Chinese Region. I don't know why only I have this problem :sad2: I think i cannot do MTD hack. I do't know from where do You have this temp5 and temp6 file browser cleared, I tried everything. I don't feel i manage with MTD hack. When i Downgrade my camera last step from instructions - my camera didn't reboot automaticly, I have to reboot camera by myself - but i don't think that this is the problem

did you close the TFTP after the "Device [192.0.0.64] system update completed!" message? then if you try power down and back up the camera.

Most of the time the camera will reboot its self, after minute but unpluging the plug won't hurt.
Please read up on the use of telnet and how to copy your mtd files, I will happily mod these file for you you just need to learn how to get them, there are a good few guides on how to do this here in the forum

tftp shows

Device [192.0.0.64] system update completed!

then i close tftp, then my camera didn't reboot automaticlly. I have to turn power off (through poe) and after restart camera log as 192.0.0.64 with default password. Then i turn DHCP and camera returns with IP from my network. When i put this address i got only Chinese login panel

I'm not being rude, but I take it you haven't read much in the forum have you, As still the best firmware for functionality is 5.1.6,

please use this firmware to restore your camera to 5.1.6 full English.

This should sort you out, once you have this working you can learn how to do the mtd hack, with the camera you have after the hack is done you can upgrade your camera you have with the 5.3.0 English release as this version will always been English after mtd hack.

Hikvsion 2632 UK model, I upgraded from 5.0.? to 5.3, but had to upgrade to 5.2 first. Now Luxriot or Genius Vision Digital will not run it. Works OK with Hik iVMS-4200.
Great if I can go back, will try tomorrow.
Can you switch off IR in 5.2.5?
Is it worth going back to 5.1.6? IR off in 1.6?

Your camera is only limited by the original firmware, So you can easily tftp back to 5.1.6 if that was your original firmware.

Have tried hard to get them on to DVR
