You are correct, I have the SD49225-HN model. Sorry for the mistake.
 
I dunno, the progress bar moved a tiny bit and then not at all so I cancelled it, not gonna try another update until someone with the same model does is lol

Thanks for the information . I wasn't certain if I could wire in two PIR sensors and then tell the NVR to move my PTZ to preset 1 and then once the second PIR is tripped move the PTZ to preset 2.

I want my PTZ to first Zoom in on an object that trips the first PIR. So as someone is coming up the driveway it zooms in on them. The next PIR will be at the front door and the PTZ will pan over and zoom in when that one is tripped.

The screen capture from the NVR looks like you can only select one alarm input channel. Is this the case or I am missing something?
 
@Brian Martin , I'm new and get the PIR's today so I haven't set this up yet.

From researching here, I'm hoping to use 2 alarm inputs as triggers and assign the triggers to the same channel, which will trigger the PTZ preset.

I was under the assumption from reading that any of the 8 triggers (NVR5208-8P-4KS2) can be assigned to any channel you like. Hopefully, one of the gurus will chime in and confirm.

I am also new to the Security camera setups but quickly learning.

I want to put in some type of wireless beam break sensor a the end of my drive way for the first preset on my PTZ. The next sensor will be a PIR at the front door. From what i have read it does not appear that you can set more then one channel to a camera at a time. Like you said maybe the all mighty camera gods will chime in on this. I think we could hook up an alarm input directly to the camera for one preset and then another to the NVR. As long as they are not tripped at the same time they would not work against each other. What PIR's did you end up getting ?

this is where home automation comes in, you can run your sensors back to the HA system and have it sent http commands to the cameras to do anything you want. :)

You know those are not rated for outdoors , right ?

I have been looking at the Optex LX-402 and mounting bracket CA-1W or CA-2C.

Still looking for an affordable beam break sensor for the end of the drive. I would like wireless but some of the kit process are up in cost.

I am not sure if those will handle the outside and cold temps. I have used these and they are made for outdoors:

MY-40 | Aleph-USA

That company sells many different PIR types and check Ebay....I found a set of My-40 for $30 . That was around 10 years ago but they still work perfectly.

I definitely cannot escape the cold of the Upstate NY winters. I should be able to protect them mounting them under the soffits.

I would call that a mistake on my part. Thank you gentlemen. This forum is priceless.

If nothing else, I'll learn how to set them up and activate the necessary triggers/alarms. I can use them inside if they are useless outside under the soffit.

I'll start looking for an outdoor rated PIR.
