Question for you guys: What is the difference between a Bullet and a Eyeball version of a Dahua? Specifically the 5231R-Z eyeball and the 5231E-Z bullet? Is there a physical advantage of one over the other? Is it because the eyeball has a separate IR lens sensor thingy majig?

I ordered this PTZ from Andy on Wednesday and received it from DHL on Friday from Hong Kong! Still can't believe it. I live in upstate NY. Thanks dude. I will definitely buy from you again. This shipped farther and faster than Amazon.

I order a Hikvision camera through Ebay/China and it shipped via China E-packet. It just came in today and was ordered on 7/16. Just under a month. I have ordered from Andy and have received the camera within 5 days.

Here's another capture from my SD49225T-HN

Water Leak at 1AM

Noticed this about 1:15AM. I called the emergency number for the local water company. I was told someone had notified the fire department and they had been dispatched to that street. The leak was stopped about 2AM. I saw the water company working down on that street for the next 12 hours.

Can i install this on my soffit?

Edit: i want to use my old pc/nas to store the streams 24/7. I see that this cam encodes h265, so I guess my pc wouldn't have to do anymore encoding, how much power do I need to record and live view 5 cams? Is a athlon x4 620 enough?

I wonder if I have missed something. When I look at the datasheet on dahua website I see that the specification say “Main stream 1080P/720P/D1(1 ~ 25/30fps)” but when I bought the camera the specification was “Main stream 50/60fps@1080P”

Have they changed anything in the cameras/software so it’s not possible to have a higher framerate than 25/30 fps? And if so anyone knows why?

You could, if you have a solid way to support it. And it's rather large.

Just ignore the specs listed from Dahua, most of the listed specs are not correct....For this particular cam, the true specs are:

Main Stream: 1080P or 720P, frame rate up to 60 with NTSC firmware (50 for PAL firmware)

Substream 1: D1 (704x480) or CIF (352x240), frame rate up to 30

Substream 2: 720P or D1 or CIF, frame rate up to 30
