Darn it. Gotta pay $4.99. The Dahua app doesn't look as nice as the Amcrest, but overall seems identical in functionality. The Dahua app has in the paid version.

Did you try if the Amcrest works vice versa? Maybe it's possible to add the Dahua cams, if everything is similar …Darn it. Gotta pay $4.99. The Dahua app doesn't look as nice as the Amcrest, but overall seems identical in functionality.

Spec sheets here: 2 Megapixel - Dahua TechnologyQuestion for you guys: What is the difference between a Bullet and a Eyeball version of a Dahua? Specifically the 5231R-Z eyeball and the 5231E-Z bullet? Is there a physical advantage of one over the other? Is it because the eyeball has a separate IR lens sensor thingy majig?

You could, if you have a solid way to support it. And it's rather large. Can i install this on my soffit?
Edit: i want to use my old pc/nas to store the streams 24/7. I see that this cam encodes h265, so I guess my pc wouldn't have to do anymore encoding, how much power do I need to record and live view 5 cams? Is a athlon x4 620 enough?
Just ignore the specs listed from Dahua, most of the listed specs are not correct....For this particular cam, the true specs are:I wonder if I have missed something. When I look at the datasheet on dahua website I see that the specification say “Main stream 1080P/720P/D1(1 ~ 25/30fps)” but when I bought the camera the specification was “Main stream 50/60fps@1080P”
Have they changed anything in the cameras/software so it’s not possible to have a higher framerate than 25/30 fps? And if so anyone knows why?
