Dahua 2MP Starlight Lineup

Why would anyone want a

SD49212T-HN 12x
instead of the
SD49225T-HN 25x

They look to be the same price.

where you getting prices for the 12x, I havent seen any yet

SD49212T-HN 340USD/PCS Andy sent me that price. He might have meant to send me the price on the 25x??

then get the 25x lol

same, are you connecting to an NVR or individual camera? I don't have the NVR I was just playing around with the software and one turret.
You solved the mystery! Doesn't work via the NVR, does work connected direct to the camera.

Hi Everyone, newbie here. I'm wondering if these Starlight IP cams come standard with IVS or is it only on select models? Cheers.

Always check the specifications and see what is listed under "Intelligence". A quick check through some of the models @nayr posted would appear most (if not all) support IVS.

Thanks for the heads up. The ones I'm after have IVS listed as (optional). I'm assuming that I'd still need to confirm with the seller whether or not the IVS option is included.

I am cross posting a quote from @TVT73 which was in response to a similar question over in this thread.

You can only use ivs, when smart codec is disabled. It's the same as face detection can't be used together with other ivs functions. Maybe this is meant with optional.

My knowledge is that all international models in the lineup above lite series have IVS support. But for sure, if you find optional in the spec. it's better to ask the seller, or you specify the desired version here. Next thing, the starlight series is not cheap, ecosavy 3.0 and therefore I can't find any without ivs.

Sometimes the translations are a little bit curios

What's the pricing on the following camera models?

IPC-HFW8231E-Z5
IPC-HFW5231E-Z5

Thanks

The IPC-HFW8231E-Z5 and IPC-HFW5231E-Z5 are 2MP Starlight Cameras too ;)
Hopefully, someone here can shed some light on pricing, thanks!

pretty much the same as the Z (4x)

The 8231 is an UltraWDR, not an UltraStarlight.. it does have starlight capabilities, but not Ultra Starlight capabilities that your paying for.. that money gives you no better low light capabilities, just a stronger DSP that can handle 140dB WDR and SSA.. it runs same IMX291 found in the Eco Savvy starlights.
