I just ordered IPC-HFW5431E-Z5 from AliE. Looks to be exactly what I was looking for to do LPR.

This is what I'm using for LPR works perfectly. I'm even able to get motorcycle plates.

Camera setting: 1/1000 on the shutter speed. I didn't change any other setting. Camera's are approx 45' on the day shots and 80' on the night shots from the road, both cams at 45° angle.

The bikes were going by at about 60 mph. They fly down my street and the plates are half the size of car plates this cam has no problem picking them up.

I just measured: The day shots I posted the cam is 45 ft away and the night shots I posted the cam is 80ft away.
Buddy, can the hfw5431e-z5 watch 50meters in the night? Any special setting for the cams?
Just want to give a shout-out to Nayr. I've completed my long range camera setup around my house and it was this thread that got me started... cheers dude!

I've started two threads, more on the zoom/focal image quality but can list current settings.
Life happened apparently.
Did Nayr go on Holidays?
Is it just me or has @nayr, one of this forums most beneficial and prolific posters, dropped off the face of the earth? I haven't seen him throw in his two bob worth for a while.
