Word to the wise, if you open one of the turrets to insert a micro SD card or to move a desiccant pack that is rubbing on the lens, make sure that the rubber seal is set in place before you put the camera halves back together. Reference for the seal, it's the flat black part on the lower 1/2 of the camera (micro SD card slot pic) in nayr's 1st post.
I had a desiccant pack rubbing when the lens zoomed in/out and had to adjust it a few times (camera on and opened). When I started to put it back together, I noticed something wasn't right with the fit and eventually realized that the seal had rolled inside the camera away from the edge in several places.
Btw, I have a new appreciation for the heavy contributiors here. I spent about 5 hours configuring 5 cameras (4 turrets and a bullet). This included opening each one to put in a memory card, changing the IP addresses, setting up static IP addresses on my router, updating the firmware, and configuring everything that could be done for the initial setup prior to installation.
Tools used: folding table, power strip, laptop, 3 Ethernet cables (2 for the laptop/ Poe injector, 1 to a network switch), a Poe injector, and a #1 Phillips screwdriver. And of course, a pile of cameras. =)
