This NVR has a latest new version again,

2. Slow operation after upgrading the new UI baseline
3. Fix the problem that ssd cannot log in using the old encryption method
4. Fix a potential fd leak in the network framework that causes the device to crash occasionally, and the configuration will restore the default after restarting.
6. Fix the problem of automatically kicking the channel when booting up
7. Fix the display overflow problem of ftp configuration interface and channel overlay interface
Do you have a link?

Do you know how to install it using the serial console?

My NVR reboots by itself, I really need to fix it, and I am willing to pay for it.

This is my struggle:

Greetings all! apology for my bad english, need some help here. Since upgraded to v4.0001 model is nvr5208-8p-4ks2e, the upgrade went well everything works fine, the inbuild firewall was definitely helpful prevent attackers. One fine day i wanted add camera, i realize the NVR couldn't detect any newly plugged inbuilt POE cameras. In chrome web gui nothing is listed. Using Smart PSS it shows the NVR and external camera I plug directly into routers. Those existing already on POE switch works fine but i couldn't add any that is attached in POE, I happen to removed number 6 now i couldn't add it back anymore. I had upgraded to this current version you released but apparently didn't help.

One thing i did able to find the POE swtich camera is downgrade to DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V3.216.0000006.0.R.20190223 it am to read all the POE switch camera but the WebGUI stays blank. So my plan is downgrade to v3.216 add those camera back then upgrade back to v4.0001

Any thoughts would be helpful if this is the path i have to go?
Also for v3.216 firmware what does flash.bin and PartionTable.bin do? should i flash them to gain access to Webgui?

Appreciate you help :)

I might have missed it in your story: what happens if you flash v4, factory reset and reboot the NVR. Does it work? My primary attack wouldn't be downgrading (because you won't stay on those versions anyway), but disconnecting all the POE camera's. Factory reset the NVR. Plugin your first camera whilst holding the factory reset button on the camera. It will powercycle and let the NVR find it and re-initialise. If the NVR finds cam 1, configure it like it used to be (eg IVS). Then redo the same task for cam 2. Incrementially add the camera's.

That should work.

Good luck!

Thank you catcamstar, would try that way out then, if factory reset, will i lost my videos? Just want to be sure before i do that.

For what I remember: if you untick the "storage" box in the factory reset, it should not reset your storage stuff (see ). If you want to "play safe": either upgrade & factory reset without the hard drives (but you never know whether (or not) the NVR will accept the re-injected disks and asks for a reformat anyhow), or you export your (valuable) clips with SmartPSS... I would prefer the latter!

Good luck!

Hello guys,

I bought NVR5416-16P-4KS2E in April, 2020 and I have no problem with it.
It is my first NVR

Does it make sense to apply firmware update DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000000.4.R.200707.zip ?
Is there any unsolved problems with it?

Hello,

I'm not sure I'm running the latest version? I do a manual check and the NVR is saying it is but? This one seems newer?

I have a DHI-NVR5416-4KS2 hardware version 1

Hello,
Could you explain me the next thing.
I have got NVR5216-16P-4KSE.
It has IP address 192.168.1.108 and Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Also I have the next 2 Dahua IP cameras
First one IPC-HDW5442TM-AS has IP address 10.1.1.66
Second on IPC-HFW2821T-ZAS-S2 has IP address 10.1.1.65
Why do cameras and NVR are in different networks.
My computer is in 192.168.1.255 network how it can connect to my cameras in another network without router?
Should I change ip address of my cameras?

I can partially answer. The NVR with built-in POE switch places the cameras on their own subnet. You can optionally place a camera on your 192.168 subnet using a POE switch. There's a way you can click through to the camera from the NVR's UI, called virtual host or something similar. Somebody who actually uses this can give more detailed info.

Open the web ui of the NVR, (use IE), then Settings, Camera, on the right of each camera, you should see the link for access the camera via its gui, on the NVR, make sure that under Settings, Network, TCP/IP , virtual host (at the bottom) is checked.

Hello,
Could you tell me where I can setup IVS Analysis setting?
I could find only this one, but I can't find any way to draw Tipwire and etc
Also I can't find system setup where I can setup email sending.

Hello ,
The NVR has 192.168.1.108 address.
My camera connected to NVR via POE CAT6 and it has 10.1.1.65 address.
Is it possible to connect the camera using P2P connection (using serial number) via internet or SmartPPS program?
Regards

Judging by the 10.1.1.65 it sounds like its plugged into PoE Port 1 on the NVR which isolates that camera from the rest of your network, you can use P2P to access the NVR for remote viewing where the camera is tied into but you cannot directly connect to that camera standalone, put it on an external switch problem solved.

Unfortunatelly I can't put the camera to an external switch because the camera is powered by NVR POE so I need to buy POE external switch or I need provide power cable for the camera.
The place where camera is places there is no any power sockets.
