I have installed it without any issues. Got it from Andy as well.
I have also installed it, on the R-Z camera without any issues.

Just installed the following firmware located on the Dahua website for my IPC-HFW5231E-Z5.
DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_EngSpnFrn_N_Stream3_V2.460.0000000.16.R.20170904
I noticed the camera did not return online after it self reboot at 3AM, but managed to get it back online. So, I went to Dahua site and their new firmware corrects this issue according to the documentation posted on the firmware corrections. So far the camera is working fine with no issues.\

Device Type IPC-HFW5231E-Z5
System Version 2.460.0000000.16.R, Build Date: 2017-09-04
WEB Version 3.2.1.491565
ONVIF Version 16.12(V2.4.0.485616)

Even though we have uploaded all required firmware's on our International website but still if anyone want to get any firmware of old or new models.. just hit me up ... will glad to help you out
Well hello Ubaid-Dahua, just seen your post. I don't always update firmware if all's OK but I have a couple of old models that would benefit from more stable firmware. These are:-
SD3282D-GN 2.103.0010.0.R, build : 2013-05-14
SD59220S-HN 2.420.0001.0.R, build : 2014-06-07
Do you have newer firmware for these cameras please? I didn't try using the SD59220T-HN firmware guessing that the hardware will be different and may kill the camera.

Dahua won't see it as a focus issue as the camera isn't actually designed to use as an ALPR Camera, I just use schedule to switch to night mode before it gets dark when there's still enough light for it to focus itself correctly, if it switches in the dark it tries to focus and can't see anything to focus on.

They should allow focus mode to be controlled through the web interface and the API so we can set it to "manual"

The dahua api does have a manual focus and zoom function.

I had issues with autofocus when switching between day/night modes; autofocus gives up (times out) before the exposure settles in after switching modes. This left my cameras out of focus. To fix it I programmed my vms system to send the manual focus+zoom http command after it sets day or night modes (which is done on a schedule using sunrise/sunset times).

I posted a while back in another thread some info on the api commands involved nut can't remember exactly where. Some googlefu should return the info you need.

I'm using the Dahua day/night switch utility - DahuaSunriseSunsetto refocus after the day/night switch.

Hi @Ubaid-Dahua

I am trying to find the firmware for the IPC-HDW1220S, but the previous version of the camera. The previous version utilized a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor (can't find it on dahua website anymore, but here is the camera on aliexpress (DAHUA IP Camera IPC HDW1220S 2MP Full HD Network Small IR Eyeball Camera HDW1220S IP67 Support POE and Onvif English version-in Surveillance Cameras from Security & Protection on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group), while the latest one on the website seems to be using a 1/2.9" sensor (IPC-HDW1220S | Dahua Technology) , and the LED's are different.

Do they use the same firmware? (e.g. [NTSC]DH_IPC-HX12XX-Eos3_EngSpn_N_V2.420.0000.11.R.20170620 )

What is strange, is when you download this firmware, it actually downloads: DH_IPC-HX1XXX-Eos3_EngSpn_N_V2.420.0000.11.R.201706121 Which per the release notes is for the 1MP cameras.

Latest stable version is already on your camera. I wouldn't do a firmware update unless you also have the original to revert back to.

Question. I got a few 8MP Starvis ZE model cams and it seems even though the firmware is the same some have the "forgot password" option next to the login and some dont. Also the one that dont has a max fps of 14 while the "forgot password" ones has 15fps. Why ? They are all PAL from Andy.
They seem to have same firmware and WEB, ONVIF version.

I dont mind 14fps im just curius why this is.

2.460.0000.15.R, Build Date: 2017-09-07
WEB Version
3.2.1.492613
ONVIF Version

I upgraded the cams to 16.R from Dahua homepage and they now have 15fps (8MP) instead of 14fps. It also says Dahua on the login screen instead of the general login. Oh well, its all good now :)

My IPC-HDBW5830R-Z had some exposureproblem but it also gone with new FW. It would reset or flicker exposure every 30min or so triggering motion detection... After FW upgrade no problem works liek it should !

Very happy with the cams now. The FW also added SSA. Some kind of exposurecontrol for backlit scenes. Nice !

I am a bit confused. I ordered some cams from Andy and I thought they would ship with NTSC firmware (I am in US), but he shipped them PAL. I am having trouble locating the NTSC English firmware for the below cameras, can someone point me in the right direction?

IPC-HDBW4231E-AS
IPC-HDBW4431E-AS
IPC-HDW4631EM-ASE
IPC-HDW4830EM-AS
IPC-HFW5631E-ZE
IPC-HDW4431EM-ASE

With IP cameras does PAL vs NTSC even matter? Will the NVR display proper format or only pass through whatever the camera encoded?

Thanks!

These cameras, work with digital signal, so it doesn't matter, which video signal is the firmware.

Yeah a modern dvr (or vms) setup doesn't care about ntsc or pal. Those only come in to play if you use analog signals (older cctv style setups with coax etc...).

Cool, that’s what I figured since it is all same encoding.
