Greetings all,

I ungraded the firmware to my DS-2CD2532F-IS to 5.3.0 version and now I can't access the webpage anymore with any browser.

The IP address of the camera hasn't changed because I can access the video and sound from the camera via my phone, I just can't access the camera pages to make any changes.

Any help is greatly appropriate it.

Thank you.

My first guess would be a caching issue. Try clearing out your browser cache and see if that works. Also, have you tried it on a different browser?

I've reset the IE browser, and also tried with google, and firefox, also tried on different computer and my phone, but can't access the log in page as I could before, or as I can to my other cameras of same make and model. Very strange.

Also, that program that came with the camera called SADP can see the camera, shows the IP address, same as it was before, but can't log into the camera.

My first guess would be a caching issue. Try clearing out your browser cache and see if that works. Also, have you tried it on a different browser?

5.3.0 is pretty new and there isn't much experience with it yet. Did you download from here: http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/download_89.html
It might be interesting to see what the very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net makes of the current state of the camera.
As well as providing lots of useful info, and showing live video, it also gives a representation of the web page and how to access it, there might be some clues there.

Hello,

Thank you for the infor on ONVIF Device Manager. I downloaded it and I can see all of my 3 Hikvision cameras. The difference between the two cameras with the V5.2.3 build 141024 firmware and the one with V5.3.0 build 150327 is that I can't access the webpage tab, everything else appears to be the same.

I did download the firmware from the same link you mentioned.

A simple thing to try next, in my opinion, before any more detailed investigation, is to try a TFTP firmware downgrade to the 5.2.3 or 5.2.5 version.
The release notes for 5.3.0 say something like 'cannot downgrade to a lower version' but I think I read that it can be done via TFTP.
There is a 5.2.3 and a 5.2.0 version here: http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/index.php?dir=Product Firmware/Cameras/DS-2CD2xx2/

There is also still a 5.2.0 version for your camera here: http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/download_89_p3.html
and there is a 5.2.5 linked to on this forum somewhere.

*edit* This may be worth trying: http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/3522-Where-can-i-find-a-working-firmware-for-my-DS-2CD2432F-IW-camera?p=30068&viewfull=1#post30068

I had the same problem - upgraded to 5.3.0 then stuck in a boot loop, only way to fix it was to downgrade to 5.2.5 using HIKVisions version of auto-update TPFT, the one posted in the forum wouldn't communicate, so stay away from 5.3.0, I believe it sets it to mini mode with only tfpt.

Now it's in Chinese language, so going to have to read up on changing it to English :/

At least it's up and running again :)

Thanks for the info Alastair and Hitman,

I downloaded the "TFTPD32 is copyrighted 1998-2003 by Philippe Jounin (philippe@jounin.net)" is this the correct version of the program?

When I run it I get an error "cannot initialize DHTP server, insufficient privilege to run.

This is my first time using this program so I'm not sure what the procedures are.

Thank you for your help.

So my camera is running in mini mode at the moment? Is that why I can still see video and hear audio?

No - you need the Hikvision-specific version of the TFTP server for a firmware recovery. During bootup, the NVR or camera sends a UDP broadcast packet with the Hik magic number 'SWKH' and proceeds when the Hik TFTP server responds with an acknowledgement.

The server and docs downloads are here:
Hikvision TFTP tool download here:
http://www.hikvision.com/europe/down...re.asp?id=1337

*edit* Ooops - I just noticed that this is the wrong version of the TFTP tool for LAN-based updates, sorry.

And the instructions for it here:
http://www.hikvision.com/europe/support_more.asp?id=269

Hi Alastair, it can not be installed with lower firmware by tftp. It will bricks,
. It will not show TFTP upgrade completed. I try on a 5.3.0 on sticker, run 5.2.5 version manufactoried on 17th Apir camera. Can not found on SADP. So friend on forum be careful with upgrade to 5.3.0. If the sticker is 5.3.0. Then do not do it, will brick.

What region was the camera? As I've yet to see a Chinese 5.3.0 camera, The issues with downgrading are only limited to its original firmware.

Interesting information, @alexander.omiz, many thanks.
It sounds like the 5.3.0 firmware may be introducing new problems for people.
The more we know and share about it, the better.

It is chinese region camera i bought from Ali, the manufatory time is 17th Apir. The sticker is 5.3.0, but runing 5.2.5 version firmware. When i updates with 5.2.0 5.2.3 5.3.0 firmware by TFTP, all failed. Stopped at "complete digicap.dav transmit", did not show "upgrade completed". I tried to ping it, but it failed also. So i recoveried it with a 5.3.0 chinese firmware provide by hikvision online support, I tried TELNET to change MTD, but seems failed, only allow SSH. Thus, people with newest camera be careful with upgrading.

Hello,

Thank you for the infor on ONVIF Device Manager. I downloaded it and I can see all of my 3 Hikvision cameras. I did download the firmware from the same link you mentioned.
Just to confirm that I'm understanding correctly, when you say you can "see all 3 cameras on ONVIF Device Manager", I assume you mean that you can see the video feed of all 3 cameras as well as the settings for all 3 cameras?

If that's the case and you've checked with other browsers/computers to confirm that it's not a caching issue, then I can only suspect that the firmware didn't completely install itself correctly (ie. Perhaps some of the Jscript files that the browser reads was corrupted?) Did you try reinstalling the same 5.3.0 firmware again to make sure no file corruptions occurred during installation?
