Hikvision 5.2.5 & 5.2.8 Full English (INC DAYS OF WEEK) mtd Hack

I have a selection of pre-hacked (language=1) Chinese DS-2CD2032-I from AliExpress on 5.2.0, 5.2.3 & 5.2.5 (stickers say 5.2.8). I'm encountering some NTP sync issues on the 5.2.0 cameras, so would like to upgrade them. I assume that if I flash the firmware to 5.2.5/5.2.8 using TFTP, it will reset the language to Chinese, then I can apply the above hack? If so, which firmware would you recommend I try?

There is one choice at the moment, 5.2.5 then the mtd hack for full English.

I repaired china 5.2.5 firmware for english language
First I made a mistake because I try downgrade firmware on ver 5.2.0 but ok
Than I repaired a cam with tftp server and china ver 5.2.5 thats ok
But today I modificated some values in mtdblock5 or 6 just like on this link

and now cam is bricket. I tried again with fftp server with firmware 5.2.5 and tftp upload firmware ok
but I dont see cam in SADP. I see cam just with telnet if I login on root thats all.
I have original MTD files but i dont know how can i put on camera. I see just root with telnet.

Pls help me

What IP address can you telnet to the camera with?
If you have the original mtdblock5 & 6 and you can login as root with telnet, then you should be able to replace the changed mtdblocks something like this:
Replace the mtdblockN_orig with whatever you called the originals, assumed to be in the folder of your TFTP server.

First, save what you currently have.
cd /dav
cat /dev/mtdblock5 > save5
tftp -p -l save5 <IP address of your TFTP server>
rm save5
cat /dev/mtdblock6 > save6
tftp -p -l save6 <IP address of your TFTP server>
rm save6

Now copy back the originals.
tftp -g -r mtdblock5_orig <IP address of your TFTP server>
cat mtdblock5_orig > /dev/mtdblock5
rm mtdblock5_orig
tftp -g -r mtdblock6_orig <IP address of your TFTP server>
cat mtdblock6_orig > /dev/mtdblock6
rm mtdblock6_orig

Shut down the TFTP server.
reboot

And keep your fingers crossed.

It's the lower-case of the letter L for local.

Use another TFTP like dahua TFTPServer_En.exe or TFTPD32
Or check your OS petrision to C:\TFTP folder

There should not be a permissions problem for the copy to the camera, that's a read, not a write.

So you can access the camera again, SADP, web GUI etc just as before? Well done!

I am again modification mtd5 and 6 and all same.
Cam is bricket. Her is my pic original mtd ( original is temp5a and temp6a) and modification mtd (temp5 and temp6)
I dont know original is not same like a on post1 maybe is this wrong.

for me is problem nvr not date on osd nvr send me message language is mismatch when connect cam with nvr
not working hikvision protocol just onvif.

With another cam model 2132 (aliexpres firmware 5.2.5 i dont touch this firmware.
In this cam i have problem with login if i change default admin password 12345
i put new password and i not have problem first 2-3 times when i login.
Then one day when i connect on cam with browser I get the message ( Acount is locket pls try login after 20 min)
after 20 min is same message then i restart cam with button and then is ok
If i dont change password then is ok if i change pass then is same like first time.
This cam is connectet on nvr and when is acount locket i dont see cam on nvr.

When you changed the password on the camera, did you also change the password that the NVR has configured for the camera?
If not - it would keep trying to connect with the old, configured password, and lock out the camera.
If you change the camera password, you also need to change all places where that password is configured.
