Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

Try this URL and see if it provides a configuration file :
http://<camera_IP_address>/System/configurationFile?auth=YWRtaW46MTEK
If it does - zip it up and attach here.

Vyzkoušejte tuto adresu URL a zjistěte, zda obsahuje konfigurační soubor :

http://<camera_IP_address>/Systém/configurationFile?auth=YWRtaW46MTEK

Pokud ano - zip to a připojit zde.

What is the IP address of the camera as shown by SADP?
What is the IP address of the PC?

What was the response to using that URL in the browser?

I have 3 cameras DS-2CD1043G0E-I that I forgot the password.
I have a Poe NVR that I have reseted and configured a new password, but because i forgot the initial pass I can't connect to the cameras.
version: v5.5.114 buid 200417

I also have several camera's (2CD3346WD-I) with firmware V5.5.11 they are activated but I have no password anymore.
With this version the backdoor is solved, so what will I have to do now?

The reset button resolved my problem. I thought the reset button would reset the camera to chinese but it didn't.

Hi alastairstevenson
I have a hikvision IP camera which works with an older LaView NVR (although I could not get to fix the password) but it will not work with a Hikvision NVR (says user name or password error). I talked to Hikvision and they gave me a xml file but it did not work.

Then I saw your method here so I tried to get the configuration file but it returned the following:
Request Refuse: cgi integrate function is disabled.

Can you please help? Thanks in advance.

The camera is DS-2CD1043G0-I, firmware V5.5.80. I can switch firmware versions using the camera update function in the NVR, but it does not reset the password.
I can ping the camera but cannot http to it.
I did not set up a password when I connected it for the first time. The LaView NVR gave me a warning "weak password" but did not ask me for a new password, then proceeded through.

The camera is DS-2CD1043G0-I, firmware V5.5.80.
That version of firmware has the 'Hikvision backdoor' fixed, so the trick to export the configuration file with no credentials does not work.

I can switch firmware versions using the camera update function in the NVR,
This implies that the NVR has admin access to the camera.
Which NVR? I'm guessing the LaView one as it's presumably the one originally used to 'Activate' the camera, so knows the camera password.

I can ping the camera but cannot http to it.
This implies that the camera is connected to the LAN, as opposed to being connected to an NVR PoE port.
What's the PC IP address, and the camera IP address?
And what does the browser show when you try to connect to the camera?

I did not set up a password when I connected it for the first time. The LaView NVR gave me a warning "weak password" but did not ask me for a new password, then proceeded through.
This suggests that the LaView NVR used it's own password to 'Activate' the camera.
This is the default method on the Hikvision firmware, though there is an ability to configure a separate camera password to 'Activate' cameras on NVR PoE ports in Plug&Play mode..

a Hikvision NVR (says user name or password error)
Suggestion:
Change the mode of the NVR channel to which the camera is connected to Manual from Plug&Play.
Put the LaView NVR admin password into the Password field and click OK.
Check Live View to see if the camera connects.

I have several bullet cameras DS-2CD2T42WD-I5 that I forgot the password from my move to a new home late 2017 boxed them up, and barely now trying to use again in 2020 with firmware V5.5.0 build 170725. It sucks as I am using them as dummy :thumbdown:cameras as additional IR light to support another Dahua camera for night vision. I have emailed Hikvision several random times and yet no reply. I do recall not setting anything under "security question mode" as I did nothing back in 2017.

I don't believe that model has a reset button - and the firmware version you quoted doesn't have the 'Hikvision backdoor vulnerability' - so probably the easiest way to reset back to defaults is to use the Hikvision tftp updater to apply the same version of firmware as is already installed.

I have a KB6003 doorbell that I'm trying to recover the password, I've contacted Hikvision support but they wont support end users, I've tried resetting it but it doesn't give me the option to enter a new passcode. In SADP I only have the Import File option to reset password, Input Key option isn't available, it is for my NVR. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I got few cameras from bankrupted company. Brand name CamVision, but looks like Hikvision bullet cube. I think hardware is from hikvision, only logo different.
I have made a Hard Reset, by powering off and holding reset button, for two of them worked fine. I was able to login, with admin and pas 12345. but others not able to connect.
iVMS-4200 detecting cameras, showing IP 192.0.0.64, changed it to 192.168.87.64, by my router IP.
I also was trying to do something with SADP Tool, I can change IP address for the cameras with pass 12345, if I'm entering 123456 or something else, I'm getting error.
I tried login in browser by IP address, no luck, also tried " " - nothing..
Used password reset helper tool, also no luck, only these two working able to connect..
Attaching some photos of the camera.
Maybe somebody has an idea, what to do to make it work?

Cheers!

I have 2 DS-2CD3335-I IP cameras that have been setup and working with my DVR for years.. I just noticed that one was offline and to cut a long story short, when I try to login it says the username/password is wrong (same as the error shown on the DVR).. I am 100% sure it didn't change, so its either been hacked or corrupted.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I get in or reset the password?

I have followed this thread, but failed at the beginning as the instructions say to put the generated password into the "Serial Code box" and I don't have anything like that in SADP.. All i have is "Administrator Password" but when I try the password I am told "Device Rejected"...

Thanks in advance for your help

It may well have been hacked.
If so - try :
asdf1234
1111aaaa

If that works we need to figure how the internet got into your camera.

If they don't work - we can probably extract the password, if the firmware is 5.4 0 or earlier.

asdf1234 did it.. So hacked then? I am not overly worried as its just a shot of my garage and nothing exciting happens there.. But I am surprised anyone can connect to it as I am behind a NAT firewall have no open ports to my cameras.. I do have an open port to my DVR though and can connect to that... So are there any known hacks which allow someone to hack into the DVR and change the Camera passwords?

A bit worrying really how they can explot a hack on the cameras when I don't have "routes" (atleast not directly) to them from the Internet.

Edit: Just looked at the router and whislt there are no ports opened to the cameras manually.. The UPnP config shows a different story.. I have loads of ports open to my 2 cameras.. This is something that always bothered me about UPnP as ports can get automatically opened without you knowing.. I used to have it disabled.. Tempted to do it again and do everything manually!!
