hikvision dvr not booting up

hello guys
i have hikvision dvr is not boot up at all

only power lid turn on and LAN lid also when i connect lan cable but not appear on the network at all

nothing appear on tv

do you have any solution for this??

disconnect the hard drive and try...did you buy it in this state? did it happen after a firmware "update"...

i did that before no luck .... no its work for a week then became like this ... no i didn't update

ok i downloaded and i knew how to use it but my dvr not appear in tftp program
only this appear and the nothing

Any update on this? I'm having the same issue after a failed FW update. I've turned my firewall off and still no luck.

i fixed mine do you know how?
i contacted support team of hikvision they send me a program called "batch configuration"
through this program u can update the software and it will fix it
hope you understand coz my english very bad

Thanks Jhon.fx, but it didn't work for me. I think the LAN driver is corrupt because it's not showing up on the SADP or the configuration tool. Can't ping it or anything. May have to RS-232 into it, but don't really have time right now to figure that out.

Hi am cliff from HIKVISION,

you will need to flash the bios which is corrupt

need to do same on the hyper terminal.

OK, but can you point to any 'how-to' instructions?
Hyperterminal? Not sure it exists any more.

Yeah, a "how to" would be great. I've found a USB to TTL that I'd be willing to buy and try here:

I just don't know the steps or the TTL pinout on the board. I think it could be done thru PuTTy and a TFTP. Honestly ,though, I haven't done that much research. I'm sure there are instructions somewhere here in the forums. If I get time, I'll do some digging around and post what I find.

If your DVR has the same serial console arrangement as Hikvision cameras and NVRs, you will also need a wired connector.
Search eBay etc for '4-pin 1.5mm JST ZH connector'
And the PL2303HX serial TTL to USB convertor you linked should work OK.

I'm sure there are instructions somewhere here in the forums.
