Unfortunately XXX0 models have no public fix at the moment, there are some Chinese sellers with these deals with English firmware, I would contact your supplier to see if they have it.
If you get it please share to help others.

Hello,

I have purchased 4 Hikvision 2032 via Chinese seller and received them last week. I tried a firmware upgrade and guess what... I couldn't access anymore. I have done the firmware upgrade to 3 cams and 2 of them I could also restore with the downgrader tftp. but still one camera is in the same state as in this screenshot from SADP, it shows 4.0.8 and I cannot connect to tftp...

any suggestions? (btw I am quite a rookie in terms of ssh, telnet, linux etc)

EDIT: I could solve it by installing a switch between PC and cam. Thanks alot for all your work here :)
They are in the same situation but I can not access via telnet. Digicap.DAV which you used?

Bricked my Camera DS-2CD2732F-IS 2.7 12 mm royally.

Dear whoslooking

You are the god of such recovery. Please help. I had this fully working camera and like others in the forum, flashed my camera with 5.3.0_150513. That was the last time I had my camera smiling.

I followed everything in the guide posted in the first post. Nothing happens. Before I go fwd, here are the specs:

The camera shows up in the SADP software after 5-10 mins of turning it on. So now I have my SADP (Version 3) runnung and it says the following:

Device Type: DS-2CD2732F-IS
Security : Active
IPV4 Add: 192.168.1.64 Port: 8000
Software Version: V4.0.8build 150401
IPV4 getway: 192.168.1.1
HTTP Port: N/A
Device Serial No: DS-2CD2732F-ISxxxxxxxxxCCRRxxxxxxxxx
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
MAC ADDRESS: c4-2f-91-00-2e-18
Encoding Channels: 0
Support IPV6 :no
IPV4 DHCP status : OFF

I ran the Hikvision TFTP server with all recommendations of firewall off blah blah.... The camera is connected to a PC running windows 10 through a switch and powered by external 12 Volts.

TFTP runs everytime but stops at file upload completed

This is the log
[2015-11-13 17:30:01] TFTP server [192.0.0.128] initialized
[2015-11-13 17:30:09] Device[192.0.0.64]test tftpserver
[2015-11-13 17:35:58] TFTP server [192.0.0.128] initialized
[2015-11-13 17:36:06] Device[192.0.0.64]test tftpserver
[2015-11-13 17:36:14] Connect client success [192.0.0.64]Success
[2015-11-13 17:36:14] Start file transmitting[C:\TFTP\digicap.dav]
[2015-11-13 17:36:35] Completed file[C:\TFTP\digicap.dav] transmit

Then I waited for hours and nothing happened. Only when I load 5.3.0 version, I get the {
Device[192.0.0.64] system update completed!} message. After any type of flash, the SADP tool shows no change in above values. The SADP tool does not detect the camera when flashed witth 530 version. I tried to flash the camera by downloading the digicap.dav file from different regions, nothing happens. The internal security mechanism seems to have locked the camera so that flashing is ineffective.

I tried with all the versions from your drop box. Nothing happens. I am at a loss to understand as to what wrong I am doing.
The Version on the box is written as v5.3.0_150513 date: 09/2015

But when I ran the camera first time, the firmware version was lower version and to my bad luck, I did not make a note of it.
The camera was bought from Amazon US. But during its passage, it came through germany, hong kong and then finally India.

Well sir, I am stuck with a bricked camera. Please help to recover the same.

Dear Alastairstevenson

Thank u for the reply. A strange thing I noticed. I had saved the serial no of the camera prior to bricking which was following.

DS-2CD2732F-IS201xxxxxCCCHxxxxxxxxx

And now the latest serial shown in SADAP is

DS-2CD2732F-IS120xxxxxCCRRxxxxxxxxx

Does this give any clue ??

Is there any way to hack the sl no back to original ??

I had tried all the digicap.dav from chienese to russian. There has been no change in the software version listed in SADP

[2015-11-13 21:30:06] Start file transmitting[C:\TFTP\digicap.dav]
[2015-11-13 21:30:29] Completed file[C:\TFTP\digicap.dav] transmit

That's not good - it suggests a boot loop.
Which it should not do if it gave the update success message.
Presumably you have power cycled the camera, sometimes that makes a difference after an update.

OK, I will try another TFTP and wait till something happens. I had power cycled the camera after the success message previously. How long is the waiting ??

waited for almost 15 mins after re-flashing. The camera is going into boot-loops after the power cycle. It did not re-boot on its own.

I have exhausted all avenues except an RMA. I think I will write to AMAZON for a replacement. In the meanwhile any ideas if this camera can be revived ?? What I can gather through my own experiments is that this was originally a Chinese camera where the region code got altered somehow to a different region during upgrade. I dont know what region CCRR is. But a change in the serial no is an indicative of that.

Now the internal security mechanism is not allowing the camera to be loaded with any firmware and the latest US firmware is sending the thing into a boot loop..

Hello,

can any one help with my bricked camera DS-2CD2732F-IS as posted above. The camera firmware is stuck at 4.0.8 with the camera region changed to CCRR region which was earlier CCCH region camera. Is there any way to modify the camera back to the CCCH region?. I have tried TFTP with all region firmware, but sadp gives only 4.0.8. Any help???

The camera is still bricked. Any chances that I can revive the camera. Pl help.

You have only 2 choices with your camera 1st the original Chinese firmware or to use the downgrader.

Both do and will work, if you have an issue with tftp then they won't complete to the success message at the end.

from your logs this seems it may be the case, try with another PC if you can.

Also be aware that it can take up to 10 minutes to see the completed message
If you don't see it within 10 minutes then do a power cycle to see if the firmware has taken

If all else fails use the serial connection inside the camera

These are your only options I'm afraid
