Here's how I setup my Huisun 10x bullet PTZ for LPR

---------

I used the following settings to get a good exposure on the Huisun 10X for license plate viewing.

1. PTZ to the location desired.
2. Set the Image / Exposure settings to Shutter Priority, Shutter 1/425, Exposure Bias On: Comp Level 50, Cain Limit 50
3. Image / Focus to Manual, Min Focus Distance to INFINITE
4. Manual focus the camera to the the general distance of where license plates will be. I walked out and held up an old license plate and manually set the focus.

Thanks for the LPR settings. I tried your settings but mine doesn't show a 1/425 selection under shutter. I have a 1/350 and the next one is 1/500.

Under video adjustment, mine is set for 60hz. Is yours set for 50hz? That might possibly be causing the difference in the shutter settings.

Thanks for those settings info! Will be installing my first Huisun 10x bullet PTZ in few days.

Now how many fits will the 10x can get the plate number? I have to see as my drive way is in some way kind of long but will try some of the above settings.

Thank you!

These are the settings that I use under Audio/Video. I have the Frame Rate set the same in BI at 10. Try setting them like this or similar and see if it gets rid of the ghosting.

Use that and still it was going offline and then online and ptz was moving and auto focus on the last position. Then i look in Blue Iris and the ptz settings where on, so i unchecked the box, will now if still goes offline.

Can't wait for tonight so i can see how plate numbers come on the camera !

What is the distance of the vehicle to the camera on those night plate pics?

Approximately 40' to 50'.
I have mine set at 80' and it's reading plates no problem.

Sweet. Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to upgrade an old 16 camera system at one of my car washes, and I think I'm going to employ 1-3 of these bad boys based upon the positive reviews. Heck. I'm almost tempted to outfit all 16 camera locations with them they seem like such a good deal, although it seems risky with them not really being proven long term.
