i think my router has me boxed out from remote view of cameras

for remotely all the RTSP ports need to be different and not overlap with the other cameras, just like the server ports (sorry i didn't read all 3 pages, might have been mentioned already).

http you don't need for app/ 4200 on computer.

554 might be blocked by Verizon/AT&T (well 2 years ago had this problem, which is why the NVR changed to 8554 by default for the RTSP, but for cameras 554 is still the same)

If you have 554, i would change to something else

If you don't open either rtsp (real time streaming protocol) or server port, you will get connection failed, or live view failed on web browser. so open both (and all 3 if you are viewing on web).

On the laptop I have isms 4200 and in the Ip i have the external instead of internal and it doesn't show the feed tho i see the alarm for motion.

Is the stream port 554? thats the only i can't forward on my router as its being used by something

Yeah i would change the RTSP port to something else, anything beyond 1024 should be fine.

went to canyouseeme

ip address is consistent with address i have been using

updated port from 80 to 8000 and hit test button

response - error could not see service on port 8000 reason connection timed out
this means that the port forwarding is not working for some reason...
What internet service do you have? cable, fios? wifi? satellite?

I would double check if you have a second router if the ports aren't forwarding...sometimes the ISP puts in a modem/router then the customer adds another router without knowing...you might have another router you have to port forward beyond this one.

Usually you can check by going to the status page of the router, then check what it says under WAN IP, if its another local address such as 192.168.x.x or 10.1.10.x or 10.0.0.x then you have another router. But if the WAN IP is the same IP that shows on canyouseeme.org, this router should be fine.

try rebooting your router after you set the port forward..
Also make sure upnp is disabled in the camera. Im pretty sure upnp is your issue..

yes

and make sure the default gateway part is filled in under TCP/IP of the camera.

I can now finally view the cameras on the laptop OUTSIDE my home network SWEET no need for the iPhone anymore

Now lets get the other toms issue fixed

rebooted router and switch - still connection failed message

did not see port forwarding on zyxel switch

upnp was not disabled

disabled and reboot router

no change - still get connection failed message

Tom here are the settings for one camera see if yours fit

as far as port forwarding all i forwarded to the internal ports were the 8003 and the 1026 number to the camera IP.

One more idea...enable dhcp reserve the dhcp address and test the port forwarding..
Also
post current setting images again, in case something was accidentally changes...network settings and port forward settings...make sure your routers ip is entered into the ipv4 default gateway..

thanks code

i had enable ddns, disconnecting did not make a difference

server ports look like they are set up correctly

should ipv4 address be similar to external ip address, or should it be address on network setup?

The ip address should be your default router address i assume 192.168.1.1
