Mini outdoor PTZ : DS-2DE4A220IW-DE

I really don't have those features, I can enable them but ain't doing a thing.

If you go to the camera web GUI when you look at where you adjust the settings for wdr day night just above the small view screen you will see a box it might say outdoor click on the and a drop down box with a few more options you will see auto tracking too click that as I have mine on lowlight and wow what a difference but auto track becomes disabled
 
Yeah I wouldn't update if the camera is a grey import.

Section 3 of the firmware notes looks intresting.

The new features do look interesting! I'm thinking about trying the firmware. My prtHardInfo shows the camera is English and the serial # has WR in it which means World/multi-language.
 
Mine has WR,then 7 so it means W= western region and the R7= the type of camera ? I wonder what the AA is then.

who knows, I just updated mine - its also a WR (purchased through normal UK distribution channels).

All seems okay - no noticable loss of features, still have face detection, auto-tracking etc but will need to play with it a bit to see how it works out.

Mine is now 5.5.0 all ok. It sat at 99% for a minute then rebooted' thanks guys

I bought the camera from China and no problem on my end upgrading the camera either.

I'm wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. I have another turret with a line cross detection. On the Turret I setup PTZ linking and the PTZ does go to the preset that I set. The issue is, It never goes back to the park location after 1 min. If I move the PTZ to another location, it will go back to the park position after the min.
 
Are there any cameras similar to this with a shorter starting FL? say 2.8mm or so?
I want a larger FOV but maintain 20x zoom and auto tracking. Not asking for much, am I? :)

I 'm interested by this camera ptz DS-2DE4A220IW-DE , after have reading all post here about this camera , i have find amandacams on ebay to order one , but i have ask her about auto tracking function and she have answer me that no auto tracking on this camera ( see screenshot ) , i'm afraid to order it now , because it's not for me but for a client and if i order one and if this function is not available, the client will refuse to buy it.

Could you confirm me that if i buy this model i 'll have auto tracking ??

@MadamImAdam, probably as good as your gong to get:DS-2DE4A204IW-DE Link ->Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd. Looks to be the same camera with a 2.8-12mm lens assembly - I think 2.8-94mm is a bit of an ask at this price point. Can't guarentee it is exaclty the same for features like auto-tracking.

@ Micorrado, can only speak for my own asAuto-Tracking is not on the offical spec so the answer you have seems to go from that. I've got the latest firmware on mine and it still has Auto-Tracking which works well but thats not to say that it might never change - Hik are known to remove features so best bet is not to update the firmware once you have depolyed it for your customer.

I have bought seven from Amanda all have the auto track feature even on the new firmware it’s still there
