Not to go too far off topic, but which Homebridge plugin do you use for the cameras?
screenshots from synology yes, so it will be easy for folks trying to achieve the same. Ezviz db1 is streaming to Google hub and ChromecastGreat information, thanks. Are those screenshots from Synology? So you are running Nelly's 190625 firmware on your EZVIZ DB and have EZVIZ linked to Google Assistant (Does EZVIZ show up in your linked services/devices in Google Home?). What devices are you able to view your DB on? Google Hub? Chromecast? TV?
Great Job/News on HomeKit. Would you be willing to write up a brief description of what DB brand/firmware you have and what steps you took to get it to integrate with HomeKit so I can add it to the Doorbell 101 for others? Appreciate it, DavidThanks to this thread and all the info I was able to get this Doorbell camera into HomeKit (via Homebridge) to see the video feed. I'll work on seeing if I can write a plugin to actually show motion and video alerts in HomeKit.
I am jealous of your Google Hub & Chromecast TV streaming, I guess I need to load Nelly's firmware to see if it will work on my LaView DB, because I cannot get it to work with LaView's 190716 firmware. I can link EZVIZ but it does not show up as linked in Google Home or as a Device like yours, but it does show linked in Google Assistant in Chrome browser.screenshots from synology yes, so it will be easy for folks trying to achieve the same. Which brand Doorbell do you have?Has to be HW or serial related. I have the Hikvision branded doorbell and I've tried all combinations of firmware and apps and never get it to show in Google assistant.
You should try definitely different firmware. As I said before, I decided to go with Nelly one because the onvif support that ezviz doesn't have. Yeah, I think I will, I already have ONVIF with LaView (They were the first to release ONVIF support) but what I noticed with Nelly's is they do not have a custom App like LaView, they point their owners/users to EZVIZ App, so my thoughts now are Nelly's is using the EZVIZ's cloud which is linking to Google Assistant. Will post my results. You should try definitely different firmware. As I said before, I decided to go with Nelly one because the onvif support that ezviz doesn't have. Happy New year to you too

No go, I upgraded to Nelly's 190625 successfully but still not showing EZVIZ in devices or links, unlinked/relinked EZVIZ in Google Home, deleted DB in EZVIZ App, reinstalled and setup EZVIZ App, even tried in reverse order. So far only confirmations of Google working is with EZVIZ owners. So, I may just breakdown and buy an EZVIZ DB1 while it is still under $100 price. Must be a EZVIZ cloud Hardware thing...As you can see my LaView, even with the Nelly's firmware, is alerting me of an firmware upgrade, so it must still be talking to LaView's cloud.Yeah, I think I will, I already have ONVIF with LaView (They were the first to release ONVIF support) but what I noticed with Nelly's is they do not have a custom App like LaView, they point their owners/users to EZVIZ App, so my thoughts now are Nelly's is using the EZVIZ's cloud which is linking to Google Assistant. It's the Hikvision DS-HD1. It's the actually Hikvision branded doorbell. Same as the others (EZviz, Laview, nellys) but first party Hikvision.Which brand Doorbell do you have?
Thanks, wow this is new to me/us here. Hikvision did not show this version of the Doorbell on their site when most of us here got ours. For me July 2019. So, what App did yours suggest you use for install? It's the Hikvision DS-HD1. It's the actually Hikvision branded doorbell. Same as the others (EZviz, Laview, nellys) but first party Hikvision.
Oh also, do you remember which firmware version your DS-HD1 initially came with? It's the Hikvision DS-HD1. It's the actually Hikvision branded doorbell. Same as the others (EZviz, Laview, nellys) but first party Hikvision.
I recall it did't work at first. Ok thanks, good to know. Well, I went ahead and ordered me an EZVIZ. I don't want to miss out on the low price, not sure how long it will be at that price. When installed, I will have my LaView for sale or will be installing it for a family member's birthdayI recall it did't work at first. I had to turn off the camera from google home after I have added it
Thanks. Added it to the DOORBELL 101 Found the FCC ID Just don't have any info on the firmware version they load...Also
Hikvision is the manufacturer for all these doorbells being talked about in the thread. I am a Hikvision partner so we frequently get access to new products. Seems like they released this to third party (Nellys, Laview, RCA, EZVIZ) before releasing the first party version although the hardware seems to be identical
Well I flashed over it trying to get it into Google Home so I don't have it. I'll get it from another unit or check and see if Hikvision has the firmware on our partner portalThanks. Added it to the DOORBELL 101 Found the FCC ID Just don't have any info on the firmware version they load...
