haha gotchaDepending on which app I use to login to it depends on what it shows. I think that display is garbage
most of those apps look like a clone of each other. which is the best, and what does it offer that the other ones don't...ClaireVision Plus
Snow! ICBMs would be preferredWhat am I seeing in the sky of your pic? Looks like a bunch of incoming ICBMs
Always similar values in each respective app. I have a Netgear Orbi base unit about 10 ft away.I'd say any app that gives you dBm is preferable to an icon. dBm is objective. The icon display is arbitrary. So in terms of that factor, the Hik app and Guarding Vision look like the winners.
Edit: Now I see the ClaireVision app is showing a much different dBm value. Is it possible it's just fluctuating? Or does it always show a drastically different dBm value than Hik and GV?
yea, that RCA logo is pretty gaudy.I’m really anxious to see if that firmware from LaView overwrote the RCA logo.
No I haven’t tried changing it. I was reading somewhere that if you wanted to enable a certain feature. You needed to disable encryption. I don’t remember what it was, but I thought it was odd. I honestly don’t care.Gotcha--thanks for posting the shots of the different apps. I've stuck with the RCA one but may check out Guarding Vision.
As an aside, have you tried changing the "Image Encryption" password? Since they state that it's the same as the device verification code I wonder if changing that password might also change the admin password for the cam. My I think my RCA Floodlight camera has that setting too.
